Hi all, I was able to feel better over the last year with the help of this forum, a big thank you. My problem started with neurological symptoms without knowing what was happening! Then with the help of people here and researching I found out I was low in b12 when started treating with folic acid (5mg

Inflammation and RLS
I have always believed that inflammation was part of my RLS. I believe this because my RLS responds well to ibuprofen. A recent blog was using this study http://www.smj.org.sg/sites/default/files/SMJ-57-514.pdf The study is from 2016. The study proposes to use the neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio

I am very fortunate that I can pop down to P.A. Society Head Quarters to lend a hand. I did this morning. There are 4 volunteers helping the small amount of staff run the organisation . The person there today was inundated when I rocked up. As they are everyday. We could talk for weeks but I said, ‘No

Designing a new protocol.
6 months ago +- I found that 1 mg hydroxocobalamin three times a day with other supplements lead to feeling better after 1.5 years of feeling less worse. This July 1 designed a protocol that worked better. See Profile. The issue with the successful protocol was that I needed so much sleep and rest healing

help please, liothyronine, Roma brand
please forgive how long winded this will be I’m spaced out and not with it at all. I only posted a few months ago and my T4 results were a little on the high side. I was on 200mcg of Levo and alternate day 225mcg. I’ve reduce this down to 200mcg over 5 days and two doses of 25mcg over 2 days. Example

Prostrate Cancer treatment ADT
HiI am being treated for PC. After diagnose I was put on ADT treatment. This stops testosterone production. Had a bone scan and found I have osteopenia. I am taking a calcium citrate with vitamin D. Also once per week Alendronate 70mg. Has anyone else been in the same boat? Thanks

Zolendronic Acid Infusions
I know this treatment is for osteoporosis and not PMR but I’ve been offered this treatment as I’m over 65 and I’m on the cusp of being osteopenic and my bone fracture score is now just above 10.. Recently my rheumy said that the results of my dexascan were some of the best he had seen for someone on

Is it or ain't it?
It's very nearly 5 years since I was diagnosed with CLL or SLL (hospital never bothered to see which it was). Counts moving very slowly in a 'getting worse' direction but 3 months ago, for what reason I know not, the consultant ordered a Vit.B12 test. Normal is 200-900 and I came in at 197. Three

Worried about TSH levels :( 0.04mlU/L
I am taking a small 3mg of T3 with a private prescription and my NHS endo has said, this prescription is causing my lower TSH - but that feels like I'm being gaslight again. I'm feeling soo fatigued and stressed trying to get it sorted. I know I need to my levels on the lower side due to previous thyroid

How to persuade TSH-obsessed Endo I'm not over-replaced (on T3-only)?
Hello, I am posting because I'm hoping for some advice for an Endo meeting on Tuesday. There is a possibility that the NHS Endocrinology team at my local hospital might just be contemplating 'widening' their approach to T3 (historically for me, a violent slam in the face 'NO! Proton pump inhibitors, hearing loss, and B12
The linked article is ostensibly about a connection between proton pump inhibitors and hearing loss. Much of the article actually descibes several causes of B12 deficiency. https://www.hindawi.com/journals/bmri/2019/4853695/
