This’ll be my 4th operation under general anaesthetic, but my first not on my left knee 😅 Does anyone have any tips on what sort of food to have in the house for after the operation? I’ve got peppermint tea and peppermint

Returning to Gabapentin
After having an appointment with my GP I am about to go back to taking Gabapentin after suffering many side effects on Pregabalin. I switched to Pregabalin as the dose of Gabapentin (1200) I was taking had stopped working and rather than upping the dose, Pregabalin was easier to use as it didn’t need

Cholesterol over range despite weight loss and dieting - what’s going on?
Hi everyone, I was wondering if I could get some advice on my recent Medichecks results. I got the well woman check to check a few things I was concerned about monitoring including my cholesterol. My previous check last year showed my cholesterol was high but still in normal range but now my results

Ingrown Toenail due to Tagrisso - preventative care?
Hi Community: My father has been on Tagrisso for nearly a year now. And he's experienced dermatologic toxicity such as pimples and fissures on his finger tips. Lately though, he's had two ingrown toenails which he's never had before. He's going back to the podiatrist for tx. Seeking advice and suggestions

Nearly 1 year since prostap and periods still not returned
Hi everyone haven't posted in a little while…I stopped 6 months of prostap in June last year and my periods still haven’t come back. Blood tests recently show my hormone levels as normal apparently…I’ve been struggling with my depression though the last few months when usually it’s controlled. The Dr

Swelling around mouth after having Prostap hormone injection.
Has anyone had an allergic reaction to Prostap hormone injection, because my husband had two hormone injections so far to help stop the tumor's flaring up, and developed a rash around his mouth and after having his second injection his lips and his tongue started swelling up, and he had to go to A&E,

Reducing levothyroxine and taking HRT
I would appreciate some thoughts on whether I should reduce my Levothyroxine from 125 daily to 125 x Mon-Fri and 100 x Sat/Sun to bring TSH up a little bit. GP has agreed to this and started me on HRT patch (Evorel Conti 50) to see if that helps with the aches and pains as she thinks thyroid is treated

Compounding pharmacy in UK for allergy medicines
Hi has anyone found a good compounding pharmacy in the UK please? I have multiple allergies and the only commercially available Piriton contains either peppermint oil or lactose you would think they would make allergy medicines without known allergens in them!

Mannitol and sense of Taste/Smell
Mannitol was once quite a popular great white hope against PD, but only ever really seemed to benefit perhaps 1 in 5 at best. It did really seem to benefit me though. Given how cheap it is it is always worth a punt (I know big pharma study found no benefit, but we will agree to differ on how believable

Advice please
First of all as a newcomer I’m really impressed with the site. Lots of kind people taking time to reassure others with their experience. My query might be a long shot. I’ve started the anticoagulants and have in the past taken aloe Vera juice for my gerd which I’ve had a long time and also think is

Hi all. I am on month 7 of Prostap SR injections. All been well but started bleeding this month and having slight discomfort. I wondered if anyone else has been in the injections and if they found them to start wearing off after so many months? I’m in them until I have my laparoscopy which could be 18

Nothing found in Lap.
Hi Guys, I went for my Lap in Aug 2021 and came back all clear. Prior to my Lap I was on prostap for 6 months from Nov 2020 - May 2021 and hadn't had a period until Feb this year 2022. My flare ups only happen a week before my period. I wrote a post on here expressing my worry that they wouldn't find

Treatment of damages due to radiation
asked him why we do not use the know-how of doctors dealing with nuclear exposure. Many of us suffer from damages produced by radiation....like blood in stool, urine and other damages. However when I visit doctors, it seems they are ignorant of treatment for damages due to Radiation. I feel we should
