TV Advert for Kardia
Slowly flicking through channels on the TV but not paying much attention to channel numbers an advert being shown on one channel stopped me, (for a few seconds only, didn’t want to see or hear) from moving further up the channel list. It was an advert for Kardia and splashed across the screen were words

Defibrillator??
Morning all, I'm now 7 weeks on from my HA and 6 weeks on from my angioplasty and I've got to say I'm feeling pretty good. I'm doing an hours walk at a decent pace every day, doing my Fitsteps classes again, doing my gardening and generally enjoying life. The diets going well, taking far healthier options

Doctor checkup yesterday
After being forgotten in the exam room ...1 hour later nurse had to locate the doctor, who wasn't even in the building...... anyway, found that my echo and blood work to be very good. I was told...and I kind of thought this as well, that what I was feeling in my chest were pvcs...not Afib. Not concerned

AV block and Supraventricular tachycardia runs...
Hi everyone, Am fairly new here (diagnosis mid April) and my first post ... but have been reading you all lots and it has really helped me understand things and be less anxious, and you all sound so nice :). I have a question I would be so grateful if any of you could shed some light on what it means

Recent ‘Pace & Ablate’
Had the two procedures done a month apart. AV node ablation done on August 4th. Super good and fast recovery. Wonderful to have normal heart rhythm after a year of constant Afib, tiredness and shortness of breath. So thankful to the Afib Clinic staff of St. Paul’s Hospital.

PVC’s or ectopic beats
Hi, I was diagnosed with paroxysmal afib at 43 in 2017 and had catheter ablation in March this year. Afib returned for a couple of hours twice but was in the 3 month blanking period so was ok. Stopped the flecainide and verapamil 2 months after procedure as advised by surgeon and need to say it feels

Bisoprolol - side affects.
Hello all, I hope you are keeping well. I am on a very low dose 1.25mg of Bisoprolol to help me cope with PVCs, I have a sinus arrythmia, junctional rhythm, PVC's and suffer from bigeminy - I'm very aware of every skipped beat I have and the anxiety of it all was really taking it's toll hence the medication

Soft tissue massage and relief, relief, relief!!!
I noticed yesterday afternoon my left Tubi-grip on my leg was wet. My leg was leaking a clear liquid...no open sore, just coming through the tissue. In the morning my sheets were wet and I could see drops on my lower leg in a few places...even with my eyes. I called my primary care and his nurse wrote

I’m going crazy
Backstory: have had occasional heart palpitations since I was 15 years old. Changing in frequency and feeling. I turn 23 tomorrow and have never felt this bad. I’ve had tons of ekgs, echos, holter monitor, blood tests, you name it. Been to a few cardiologists that have told me my palpitations are benign

Feel weak and lightheaded
Hi , I started an afib attack 8 days ago and was in hospital for 4 days while the doctors tried to lower my heart rate. I'm now on 10mg of
Bisoprolol and 125mg of Digoxin.
I have felt not too bad today until teatime when I felt really weak and dizzy. This is the first time I've had an episode

Fast heart rate
I have a history of nicely controlled AF (ablation a couple of years ago) and atrial arrhythmias but 9 days ago my heart rate jumped to 135 and has stubbornly stayed there. After a trip to A&E I’m on digoxin and bisoprolol but with absolutely no effect. Any ideas?

Low blood pressure with AF episode
Does anyone get low blood pressure with AF? I was diagnosed a few years ago with paroxysmal AF. The last 2 episodes I’ve felt quite faint / lightheaded. I took my blood pressure just after my latest 30 hour episode this morning - was shocked to see it was 80/56. My blood pressure is usually on the low

Convergent ablation
I’m scheduled for a convergent ablation. I’m out of rhythm approximately 78% of the time and my heart rate fluctuates throughout the day over 100. The procedure that will be used is not common , I don’t think. The electrophysiologist will ablate behind my heart on the outside by using a “needle
