Asthma symptoms
Hi everyone I'm 17. I have had a tight chest from 10pm ish and I've used my ventolin ( 8 puffs). The pain is gone but I am wheezing and it sounds like a whistle in my chest. Any advise on what to do? I've been recently diagnosed with asthma, GP practise doesn't have an asthma use at the moment and I

Hiccups
Hi does anyone else suffer really painful loud hiccups on a daily basis? It doesn't make any difference when regardless of what I take in the way of antacids and only get acid reflux when on steroid tablets. When I get them really repetitive and painfully it eases with taking ventolin but doesn't stop

Ventolin on repeat
Has anyone else been told that they can't have Ventolin on repeat prescription? I've just signed up with a new GP and have just had an appointment today to get my medications back on repeat. He didn't question any of the rest and even let me have my rescue pack of Prednisolone to keep at home. However

Inhaler dose counting
Hi, I have real trouble remembering to take my preventer, recalling if i just took it once twice or none, and how many doses left. I've used a diary, an app, calendar reminders, task lists, pen and paper you name it. In my defence I have a small brain and I find it gets full quickly. Even in the 30 seconds

Bisopropol Fumarate and Ventolin Evohaler (salbutamol) possible warning
Well it all started with a chest infection - went to Drs as it wasn't getting any better and was given and Ventolin inhaler and told to use as needed. Dr did ask if I had had one before to which I replied yes as I had - about 10 years ago (this was before I was on betablocker). On the saturday I couldn't

Weird....
I haven't been here for a long time but just wanted to say that since January I have been going to Slimming World and consequently have lose 4 stone. On this journey I found myself using my inhalers less and less to a point where I might use the Ventolin once a week. During a visit to the GP's to see

My sister
My sister is having trouble with her breathing. Might be the weather. She has been given a new inhaler along with her ventolin and fostair. She also takes uniphyllin tablets. Not wheezing just can't breathe. Can't do anything.

What should I do?
I saw the gp this morning as for the last couple of days my asthma symptoms have been getting worse. I've been using ventolin every day, waking during the night, having tight chest and feeling wheezy but can't hear anything if that makes sense? Also coughing when I do any exercise etc. My peak flow

Inhalers!
There is a history of asthma n my family and like my mother I started suffering around the age of 50. I have a nasal drip and excessive mucus. I'm allergic to cats and pollen to some extent. After a long bout of chest pain although spit as clear and not infected my doctor has put me back on Ventolin,
