Fostair 200mcg inhaler
Does anyone else find that fostair 200 inhaler gets less effective when you’re down to last 15 doses? I’ve found I’ve had to use more ventolin at this point , was wondering if anyone else has this

Huge improvement
Have only posted here two - three times so far, but just wanted to update ye with my progress. Seen my specialist in November, not a very good meeting, but I persuaded him to change my inhalers. I was crying to him as I had no life, struggling every day . I was on stertide and spiriva for 2 to 3 years

From OK to CPR in 4 hours!
How this condition can change your lives so quickly without warning is one of the real worries. I had been at work all day and come home with my Sue being tired as we had been to hospital yesterday for a plurisy diagnosis. I nip out for a quick.pint with our son and come back and she is till talking

Extreme cold - face covering/steamed specs, inhalers not working
Has anybody found a way to do the scarf/snood thing without their glasses immediately steaming up? My OH, a biker, gets from his forums that the various spray-on-glasses demist products don't work and I have never managed to crack it. I had to give up trying to cover my face and was fine for the first

Ventolin Inhaler
I notice a lot of talk re ventolin inhaler. I have had a very bad chest infection christmas/new year, which seems to be coming back again. I have COPD/asthma. My GP asked me not to use Ventolin as much as it is bad for your heart, I took this up with the COPD nurse who knew nothing about it, and told

An old question re ventolin
I know this has been asked before, but I am far from clear. I rarely use my Ventolin except when ill, as it generally doesn’t occur to me, even when a good idea. Just this season I should be, and should have been, using it far more often as I have a significant issue with walking outside. But I haven

Positive Effects of Ventolin Tablets
I’m a 70 year old man. Heavy tobacco use for nearly 50 years. Stopped in 2013 and vaping nicotine ever since. Diagnosed with moderate copd (70% spirometer) in 2010 and same this year. Not asthmatic. Got a lung infection 2 weeks ago and was prescribed an antibiotic with 2mg Ventolin tabs 3 times per day

Use of Ventolin inhaler
I am on Nebivolol , Simvastatin and Warfarin is it ok to use a Ventolin inhaler.? Recently I have had a chest infection, cough etc and found that a puff from my inhaler helped me to be able to cough up gunk instead of just coughing unproductively for ages and ending up with no voice and a sore throat

Using saline with neb for cough
I have a home neb and ventolin nebules for occasional emergency use only. I currently have a troublesome dry asthma cough and burning sensation in my upper airways that some of you have described. Also my chest feels a bit tight despite taking salbutamol. I am not wheezing and my chest is clear. I was

I had to change doctors on moving to my latest home! The previous month I’d gone for my usual respiratory check with my nurse at old surgery! She asked if I would try a different inhaler‘Trimbow’ saying many surgeries in the area were trialling it! I agreed. After doing usual tests said readings were

Lesson learnt
After 7 day course of prednisolone, rang asthma UK helpline for advice on day 7 as I wasn't completely better. Advised to contact my doctors late afternoon after 5pm and explain my situation. Requested for the duty doctor to ring me. I spoke to the doctor who went through my history and was advised to

Getting old sucks...!!!!!
I will turn 74 in April....and in May last year, after a generally, very healthy life, became pretty unwell, landed up in A&E - and was eventually diagnosed with Late Adult Onset Asthma and Mild Airways Disease. That seemingly proved difficult to get under control, however eventually, with the help
