Misleading Information
Bit disillusioned with some content Just read a contributor asserting that Ventolin is a steroid. It isn't. Steroid Inhalers are Corticosteroids I would counsel that folk check facts before offering guidance. Noted a coue of misguided contributors already so I will just leave

Trimbow update
I have been on the Trimbow three weeks now and it does seem to be working , I noticed I was walking faster and the use of my ventolin is much reduced . I still have a chesty cough lingering on after a cold but no infection , I need to ask the question does Trimbow make you cough? Just wondered as I

Ventolin
I am not on ventolin, as it causes awful palpitations. I am now in symbicort turbohaler and have been for years.I am lucky as I am very well controlled, thankfully with symbicort and montelucust.

Ventolin Accuhaler
Hello All Hope everyone is ok… just have a quick question. 😊 Is there anyone who is prescribed a Ventolin Accuhaler by their GP please(NHS)? I am trying to move away from Salamol as a reliever and was really hoping to try a dpi inhaler instead. I suggested the Accuhaler to my GP but apparently it

Shaky and dizzy 24 hours after Ventolin?
Morning all! I had a bit of a flareup yesterday morning - nothing serious and eased after 2 puffs of Ventolin. I usually feel a bit tired and wobbly after, so took it easy the rest of the day. Woke up this morning feeling really shaky and giddy with butterflies in my tummy - the kind of feeling you

Hi all, This is my first post. I have been reading a lot on here over the past 48 hours and can see a caring and helpful community. I am currently suffering with really severe SOB I can't breathe out. This is my 3rd attack in 6 months. I have had asthma since birth and been on reliever and preventer

Broncholidator Reversibility Test
Hi, I posted a few days ago about my team wanting to do a broncholidator reversibility test and FeNO before they put me forward for biologics. I wasn't going to do the test, then decided to do it, incase it did show reversibility to save time waiting for a referral to Wynthenshawe as my current hospital

Queries as newly diagnosed
Hi all, I'm a regular on other forums as I have lupus and APS. After a recent nasty virus (poss Covid) I was diagnosed with asthma. I'm having real difficulties, despite being prescribed Salamol (which I'm not sure is working as well as the ventolin) and a preventer (fine). Because I generally

Salmon v Ventolin
Hi, I am still using any ventolin I can find including unopened boxes from my mum whom died last year. When I have previously been given Salbutamol it has never worked on an asthma attack and have always ended up being admitted to hospital. For a long time I insisted there is such an obvious difference

Puzzled by a past asthma attack experience
Around about 2019 I was staying at Harewood near Leeds visiting my parents. I was with a friend and when we were there we enjoyed exploring the Harewood Estate. Tucked away in the woods there, there is the original Harewood Castle which looks like a freestanding keep and is quite awe inspiring. To access

how long do doctors expect your asthma inhalers to last ? sabutamol Or ventolin inhalers ??
hi I’m not sure if anyone or even an asthma nurse on here can help me. I have had asthma since childhood and it was not until the age of 19 I was put on monteluask tablets that I was controlled. Back in 2017 I had what I thought was a chest infection and for the next 2 yrs has breathing / no air constant
