How often do you get pneumonia in a year with bronchiectasis?
I am curious to see how I compare with others who suffer from bronchiectasis. So far, I have had pneumonia 3 X in an eight-month period. It seems like a lot. My last sputum test in June 2022 showed stenotrophonoma and aspergillus. I do lung clearance once daily and Ventolin 2X a day. Also, Breo Ellipta

allergic to benralizumab today started on mepolizumab feeling rough
hey so after 2 stat doses of first biologics I had to go back to mdt to be discussed as was reacting within minutes each time and requiring close monitoring for 4hrs both times. So today started mepo within 5 mins same but not quite so severe I feel rubbish. They've now added benralizumab to my list

Covid and endless mucus
Hi, I'm on day 16 of covid and am still being plagued by sticky thick mucus. It's constantly being produced by my sinuses, and is on my chest and in my throat. I drink plenty of none caffeinated drinks. I'm having to use my Ventolin several times a day. Any suggestions or similar experiences?

lungs having hissy fit
Anybody else finding themselves really, really tight and short of breath in last week or two???? I'm assuming pollen & mould spores are to blame( my usual triggers), but breathing is a constant daily battle. My Relvar 184/22 doesn't seem to be doing much, am taking Fexofenadine 180 daytime and montelukast

Phew! And breathe ...
Blimey, I'm cream crackered! It's been a busy old week. On Monday morning, we med builder number 1, to discuss our sunken path and driveway. Our daughter and two children then arrived from Cumbria on Monday afternoon. The kids were 'full on' as, aged 11 and 9, they were tired of being on the train

Hi all!I was just wondering if anyone has come across this previously. I finally went to my asthma nurse and she thinks that my asthma is even less controlled than I suspected I know this is bad and I need to take it when needed but when I'm in need of my ventolin, if I don't get it, the need

FeNo Tests & living with asthma.
Hi All, First port here! I have had a bad year with my asthma, I have never really had problems before. I got a chest infection at the beginning of the year, that keeps coming back and it has completely changed my life in terms of my asthma. All my medication has changed and I have been told that

result of consultant appointment
I’m so disappointed. I had a tummy bug for three days and despite all that involved and it wasn’t pleasant at all, I didn’t have any SOB or the dreaded panic attacks. Yesterday I was right as rain so made myself a mini roast and did some ironing and took myself upstairs to bed for the first time in

Switching from Trimbow to Fostair/Spiriva
On consultant's advice tomorrow my wife (end stage COPD) switches from Trimbow (after 2 years) to Fostair 200/6 twice a day plus Spiriva Respimat once daily. Also stays with Ventolin on an 'as needed' basis. We assume the best time to take the Spiriva is first thing in the morning together with the

morning gang. I’ve posted about my state of health before, but a quick synopsis. I’ve been feeling pretty yuck for 2 months now. I’ve developed insomnia and can only sleep for 2 hours a night, which is awful. I am just so tired constantly. I started to feel like I couldn’t breathe and was having the

advice
Was called in by the asthma nurse for a review this morning. She listened to my chest and said she could hear a couple of crackles and that I had a chest infection and gave me antibiotics - about the 5th course in 8 weeks. What? I saw the doctor only 4 days ago who said it was as clear as a bell!

Trimbow inhaler
So a few weeks back I started using my ventolin a bit too much on low barometric pressure days up to 6 times daily when weather was like this... my other inhaler was spiriva respimat .. Move forward to appointment with nurse at GP practice .. offered me a choice of spiolto or trimbow to see if this

Ventolin or Salamol
I got a letter from the doctor's office this morning trying to persuade us to go on to Salamol since it has a much lower carbon footprint than Ventolin. I've got to reply within a fortnight or they will automatically switch me on to the Salamol. I've been happy with Ventolin but would be grateful
