I have been experiencing lots of different symptoms over the past 18 months. Chronic pain in neck arms, elbows knees lower back. RLS, headaches. Terrible brain fog, insomnia and low moods. I've had CT scans on my head all clear, blood tests for rheumatoid arthritis and inflammation. Physio. I am taking

hip replacement soon
my hematologist wants me to get my platelets under 400 for my surgery so I had to up my hydroxyurea to every day instead of 4 a week. He’s ok with them in the 500 range but thinks it’s better for them to be lower for surgery. He says I can cut back after a month after surgery. I really want to stay

Pains, stiffness, insomnia, IBS- Fibromyalgia?
Hi, I’m trying to get diagnosed. I don’t know what wrong but many symptoms fit fibromyalgia. It’s been over 6 months. I have COPD and was having issues with sleep, breathing and pain. I’ve also got IBS symptoms and have failed to make it in time before. The insomnia was initially thought to be sleep

Surgery today stage 3 endo
Hiah Today I had the long waited laprscopy. Whilst in surgery they removed tissue from my womb, ovaries, rectum and up to my kidney stating it was stage 3 endo with previous scar tissue. I am to have my last decapeptyl injection on the 11th Jan following 4 weeks of HRT. Afterwards there's not much

Dienogest vs Zoladex
Hi Everyone, I have stage 4 endometriosis and Thoracic Endometriosis. It’s in my pleura adjacent to my vena cava and several places on my diaphragm. I’m on the mirena coil since December 2021 and was taking the progesterone only pill (cerazette) on top for the last couple of months. I became pregnant

is it time for the medics to reassess frequency of HRT pesseries.
My GP says use 2 times a week but on menopause Matters and other sites they say it can be used daily because it is localised . I think this should be addressed by. The manufacturers and be up dated with GPs

Sulfasalazine experience
I am presently on 6 tabs of 500 mg sulfasalzine and it has done nothing for my Psoriatic Arthritis. I started Otezla on Oct 16th so I will see if this is effective then I can then decrease Sulfasalazine. The enthesitis Achilles Tendon is the most debilitating and frustrating because it makes it very

Increase Pred. before hip surgery?
I'm having my second hip replacement this coming Saturday and wondering whether to increase Pred dose prior to it. I'm on 5mg (stayed there since May when I had the other hip done). I didn't increase it last time just took 5mg the morning of op and discussed hydrocortisone support with the anaesthetist

running after hip replacement
Nearly nine months after a total hip replacement and I just went for my first gentle jog. I dropped back to week 4 of the programme, so two three minute and two five minute runs. It went OK. It is really encouraging that even after a long break you do not go back to square one in running ability. Does

Newly diagnosed with osteoperosis
Good evening, I have recently been diagnosed with osteoperosis and have been advised that it is likely that my GP will do further tests (Parathyroid being one) then either offer me HRT or Alendronic acid, however I understand that if this is all caused by my parathyroid then no treatment is possible

Menopause and HRT
it’s just after 3am on Christmas night and I’m lying in bed wide awake knowing that something needs to change. My gynae has ruled HRT out for me as the endo used to be so aggressive, particularly in terms of ovarian cysts and she fears that feeding it estrogen will reawaken the beast. When I naively
