HRT and autoimmune thyroiditis
Am about to be prescribed transdermal oestrogen and progesterone tablets. I am 56 y with much crabbines and fatigue. Have also just discovered that I may have Hashimotot's (see my post). How will HRT affect things? Do I not go ahead with it? Thanks.

CRT pacemaker
Hi everyone, this is my first post. I've been diagnosed with LBBB and am due to have a CRT pacemaker in the next few weeks (hopefully). I had no symptoms and it was only diagnosed following a pre-op assessment for a hip replacement I should have had in February - now postponed until the heart is stable

edoxaban and topical diclofenic gel?
I’m in miserable levels of pain after a hip replacement 6 weeks ago. Before I had my surgery the pain was well managed by meloxicam and amitriptyline but then I had my first episode of AFib and they thought it may have been triggered by those drugs. So I was started on the holy grail of Bisoprolol,

HELP, PLEASE??!!
I just had a total knee replacement. For 3 years now buprenorphine has helped, but today I took hydromorphone for pain that my surgeon prescribed, Nexium that my family doctor recommended to take to keep the aspirin I have to take postop to keep from getting ulcers, and cyclobenzaprine. Unfortunately

SHBG test through Medichecks?
I'm set with an appointment with a menopause clinic in a couple of weeks for an HRT consult and noticed that their charges for some of the tests were quite a bit higher than Medichecks, and they are running a 20% off sale that ends tonight. I've had my thyroid tests done with them already, so I believe

Treatment after Zoladex/Prostrap
I’m due to go back to the consultant next week and I’m just wondering what your experiences were a) coming off Zoladex/prostrap and b) what treatment options are next. For context I have been on the injections for 11 months now, and HRT for the past 5 months. I know everyone’s experiences have been different

Struggling to get a definite diagnosis
I was originally diagnosed with PMR in May 2021 by a very helpful GP. All was well for the first few months but on reducing I hit a wall at 8mgs. When I went to see GP I was disappointed that she had moved on but not particularly worried. How wrong I was. Over the next few months I was told to increase

My story won't apply to everyone, of course, but you may find a nugget worth considering. I've had mild RLS intermittently for forty years until it recently worsened. I'd always managed it with weighted heat, L-Tryptophan, magnesium glycinate, L-Theanine, and if necessary, a little pacing. At age 36,

GnRH analogues
Hi all, I am due to be starting injectable GnRH analogues soon alongside a HRT, dose anyone have any advice/ guidance on them and their side effects and management? In the past I have had Nafarelin (Synarel). The plan is to have these before surgery as NHS wait is 50 weeks where I am. Thanks

Can people with hypothyroidism suffer with sweats and heat intolerance?
Before I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism and put on medication, I suffered with dreadful sweating for years; eating hot food or drinks would being it on as would housework and sitting in a stuffy office environment. This would be the type that would soak on hair and clothing. For a long time I thought

Ankle after hip replacement due to RA
Hi there 😊 I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this. I had hip replacement late January and since then the ankle on the operation side has been increasingly achy and a bit swollen. Also the foot turns in which it didn’t do before. My RA flared after the operation and Humira was added to my

back again - people saying I have thyroid issues - I don’t know what to do?
people keep saying my mood etc could be thyroid related and weight gain. here are my trackers of thyroid… I’ll post the rest below this. I don’t know what to do as I think my HRT is doing this. GPs won’t listen. I have no relationship with them at all. What are your thoughts?

Endo back after surgical menopause - anyone else?
It's a long story so I shall keep it short - I had TLH/BSO with excision at a BSGE centre in 2017, putting me in surgical meno. Things were generally OK for a while but about 18 months ago I started to get symptoms again (pain, cystitis, then the unpredictable guts started). Gave up on the wait for an

Almost there... Couch2 5k!
Back in January I signed up for a 5k run which is this Sunday! I had 2 hip replacements in 2019 and hadn't run a step since then. The first runs were horrid, my legs felt like cement weights. Now I'm doing 30 min runs, only to find out on the track today that I only did 2 miles in 30 min! Not sure where

Levothyroxine - anxiety , chronic fatigue, HRT and eating disorder - does anyone else have these symptoms ?
hi thyroiders - I am yo-yoing from extreme anxiety to extreme fatigue . I am getting really low thoughts as I can’t sustain a relationship - I can barely look after my children and they live with me half the time. I feel so afraid as over the last 16 years this is getting worse and worse Just started

Am I going mad?
Hi! I've had so much helpful information from this forum and made copious notes over the last few weeks, I was determined I could get by without asking for help, but no. I'm so upset, after what I've decided is my last visit to the GP as I'm fed up of being fobbed off and coming out like a gibbering

Subchondral Insufficiency fracture
I posted a few weeks ago about being diagnosed with this plus bone oedema. Not seen an orthopaedic surgeon yet so dont really know the prognosis apart from possible partial knee replacement. But can it repair as most fractures do? Anyone know? I have read that it can be caused by steroids (3 years on
