Shocked by son-in-law's diagnosis of GBS
We have been very worried about my son-in-law's mystery illness. A few months ago he started having burning sensations in his hands and feet followed by shooting pains in his legs. Then it spread to one side of his body and was accompanied by burning feelings and numbness in his face. First it was thought

White spots on lungs
Hi all, it’s been a while. Since being off quarantine, it seems life has sped up and I’ve been overwhelmed by all of things to do. We’ve had alot of support people coming in and out of our house since being off Covid and I’m ready for some quiet. Found out my daughter had contracted the Delta variant

Oxford AZ vaccine causing havoc with heart
I have my second Oxford AZ
vaccination
tomorrow and I’m so worried! Still not myself since the first one and all I can think is that it’s going to make my ectopic arrhythmia’s even worse. I never had any trouble with my heart before the jab but now waiting further tests to rule out AF.

Second vaccination
I had my second vaccine Wednesday afternoon and feel pretty good but was spaced out yesterday so went home early and went to bed (and read a book - heaven). Fingers crossed no nudging my PMR into life as I think it has gone. I am still on 1 or 1/2 mg per day which seems to relieve some of the aching

is a person with history of PMR and RS3PE considered to be "immunocompromised"?
Hello all, Is a long term history (15 years) of intermittent PMR and RS3PE considered to be a characteristic of an "immunocompromised" person? Here in the US, there is now talk of authorizing covid-19 "booster jabs" for vaccinated individuals who are "immunocompromised." Is there data about PMR

W8R1 - ran home from my 2nd jab!
It’s another hot day and I was worried that if I had similar side effects to last time (which I’m not expecting to), I might get thrown off my rhythm of running every other day so I decided to run home from the
vaccination
centre.

Too ambitious! Or just stupid!
I know I’ve probably tapered too fast but I wanted to be on as low a dose as possible so that my response to Covid
vaccination
wasn’t suppressed too much. Subsequent blood tests have indicated a more than pleasing seroconversion.

Covid vaccination types - no option to choose - help!
Mine has been booked at a local clinic so not the big
vaccination
center (that's over 50 minutes drive away). What have you done?

More on Covid vaccines and the inmunocompromised.
Participants will have their blood drawn to measure the presence of antibodies at the time of
vaccination
and then again after one month, six months, one year and then two years after the last dose.

Enough is Enough. Why should any member of NHS staff receive death threats for encouraging people to take up the offer of a Covid vaccine?
The leader of the Royal College of Midwives has received a wave of "vile" abuse and threats online after she publicly encouraged pregnant women to get vaccinated against Covid-19. https://www.nursingtimes.net/news/coronavirus/union-leader-and-nhs-staff-targeted-with-vile-abuse-over-covid-19-vaccines

This is huge!
So this is for people who have been infected and recovered as well as those post
vaccination
by at least two weeks. It is a tool that will help us to understand the duration of immunity post infection/
vaccination
.

Trigger finger & costochondritis from Acalabrutinib?
Recently developed symptoms similar to costochondritis (painful sternum and tight chest muscles) after
vaccination
and lasted over 2 months. Called Pharmacist in Biologics and he hadn’t come across such incidents. Wonder if anyone here also experienced such side effects from acalabrutinib? Seok

I had my Covid Vaccine (Astra Z) back in early March and a few days after I had fatigued a lot earlier than normal when running. A week or so later I was getting Chest cramps and really struggled. This did ease after a few weeks. I had my second Jab last week. Just went for my first run since and after
