NICE Guidelines Delay?
Does anyone have any information about the delay for the publication date of the new NICE B12 guidelines to be moved from next week to early March? I need the new guidelines to fight for reinstatement of my 8 weekly injections which were stopped when I changed to a new surgery which insists on testing

Since being diagnosed with lymphoedema early this year as a result of surgery/trauma I have been trying various stockings and tights which wouldn't make my sensitive skin itch. I phoned my lymph team up today to discuss where to go from here and I have been told that they can no longer support Lymph

Pred 5 mg blocked by GP until consultant letter produced!
As flagged up earlier, I am having a flare, so ordered more Pred 5mg as per usual. I had to put a message in to explain the request. I said that the consultant had advised the increase. It was cleared on line but then blocked by the time I got to the Pharmacist. A new salaried GP texted me -

Dienogest?
I've finally seen a specialist and he's told me I haven't got deep infiltrating endo as it's not showing up on scans but I could have mild so has put me onto the list for surgery (which is a relief) but he also wants me to start dienogest. I've never mentally reacted well to birth control but was willing

Mini maze update.
Apologies I know I promised to post updates and haven't. I had my mini maze surgery back in September with the wonderful Mr Hunter on the NHS. I've been in NSR ever since which is amazing as I had moved to persistant Afib and I felt pretty awful all the time before surgery. I am soooo grateful to Mr

Hi I'm not new here but I thought I'd take a shot in the dark and explain the predicament that I am in. I have a prolapsed stoma which is 4 inches long and 55mm in diameter I've also herniated my bowel with it being 10cm in length. I also have 1 metre of small bowel left so not really much at all when

aortic valve stenosis
In 2022 I had a hip replacement following covid infection as it affected the synovial hip fluid and was then alerted to the fact that there was a problem with my aortic valve. I need to have aortic valve replacement and am currently on the waiting list. In my first consultation the cardiologist said

Help with MRI results / treatment pathway (inc bowel endo)
Hi all - Please can you have a look at my MRI findings below. Any help on other people's experiences or what my surgery/treatment pathway might look like I would really appreciate it. I'm trying to decide whether I should wait it out for NHS surgery and what that might look like or bite the bullet

Inflammation ā this stuff works?
Added 1/26/24: I had sleep issues and had to quit 299v. I canāt rule out placebo, but sleep could also be B1 break (I was on day 4 of the break. I quit 299v on day 22 of the B1.) Could the effects of B1 being cleared from my body be responsible for any improvements and/or any problems? I believe 299v

Infertility and endo options
Currently starting second round of IVF (x2 embryos in round 1 with x1 negative pregnancy test and x1 embryo left frozen) with endo still on uterosacral ligaments, pelvis and bowel vaginal wall. Been trying to find consistent & clear guidance whether to have remaining endo removed before further embryo

Advice on Cataract surgery / narrow angle
Hi all, First I must apologise, I am new to Glaucoma and looking to get some guidance from ideally someone who may have had a similar experience. I am a 44 year old male who was diagnosed with narrow angles following a routine eye exam. My eyesight is pretty good and I only wear reading glasses occasionally

Cataract surgery
I often read the experiences on CLL shared by our group on HealthUnlocked, and it's reassuring. I was diagnosed with CLL in 2013. After a long period of watch and wait (W&W), I was given only 2 cycles of chemo (BR) in 2019 instead of the planned 6 cycles due to severe side effects. Fortunately, I experienced

lung volume reduction operation
I have been told cannot have the valves fitted into my lungs as severity of my emphysema however another heart/chest surgeon says he will carry out the volume reduction surgery. Does anyone know how long surgery is from your MDT meeting?
Hi warriors, I've just had my results from my MDT meeting. I've got to have a consent/discussion consultation and another with a bowel consultation incase I need a stoma. My question is, does anyone have a time scale of when they got surgery after the MDT meeting. I'm under Cambridge team. Thankyou
