Early embryo transfer (Day 1 transfer) 2WW
Hi everyone, I don’t hear a lot online about embryo transfers that are done early on. So it’s hard to know whether I should be expecting an early pregnancy test to work or not. This round of IVF I ended up with 1 embryo so my clinic put it straight back in the day it fertilised. The cycle before

Adrenal Insufficiency or GCA or both?
I have looked at the FAQs but cannot readily find an answer so here goes.By way of quick update I restarted pred about 3 months at 10mg because my PMR symptoms came back. I have been tapering at 1mg every 5 weeks using Dorset Lady's slow taper (thank you again). I am shortly to reduce from 7mg to 6.5mg

Multiple conditions leading to burnout
Hi everyone, Any constructive advice welcome. To give context, I have PCOS, endo, degenerative discs, lymphocytic colitis and my gynae now thinks I have adenomyosis too. I also suffer with frequent migraines. My consultant has recently advised I am likely to need a hysterectomy and has discussed injections

Ft3 test
Would you test ft3 6-8 weeks after being on the desired dose of t3 medication to see if you are optimal or need to increase?

Reference ranges
NHS use a range of 7.86 - 14.41 pmol/L when measuring t4. However, every time I've had a private test they use much higher reference ranges of roughly 12-22 pmol/L. Even weirder, my t4 always comes back much lower when NHS tested, and higher when privately. Therefore, it always comes back within range

I had a medical crisis, I didn't die, I wonder why
Last summer I had a medical emergency. The odds were it would kill me but I survived with few life threatening consequences. The problems I had are commonly fatal for 80 year old men. There is a message in my experience which I hope to share with you in this article. It is a bit longer than most

Ferritin
Long time Hashimoto's here. Why do we need to check ferritin, and how is it different than checking iron? Thank you.

Twins, HCG did anyone get a faint line initially on first pregnancy test?
Just curious, we transferred 2 embryos ivf and I really want twins. Tested today but received a faint line - positive though.. I’ve been reading on here the lines are darker with twins. How true is this? I’ve only started to feel symptoms today since returning from Testing so I’m guessing hormones kicking

Do I need increase in thyroxine dose?
I have struggled with hypothyroid symptoms all my life (always cold, always hungry, always tired, weight gain etc.) but was always told by my GP that all I needed to do was diet and exercise. Nobody listened to me when I told them that I was already doing that - I suppose it's easier to assume overeating

Hello,If I take T3 in 2 doses per day and the 2nd dose is at 3pm. Is that enough time to take labs the next day? I would fast and not take any meds prior in the morning. I am just wondering about the 3pm T3 dose the day prior? I take 175 tirosint and 5mcg T3 2 times a day. Yes very small dose but doc

What’s the protocol for GP actioning full iron panel?
It’s become apparent that my daughter’s ferritin levels are deficient and she’s going to put in a request to her GP for a full iron panel. I routinely read here that one shouldn’t supplement with iron based on a low ferritin reading alone but I’d like to know what the supporting information for this

feel awful
just over 2 weeks ago went diwn to 2 mg prednisolone from 50 in august 2022. Nothing seems to be going right now. After many many years of 75 mg thyroxine daily for under active thyroid was told to cut down to 50 mg daily. Also became diabetic with Pred. & have been taking 2 500 mg metformin daily
