HU10K - post-run thoughts
This is not really a run report, more of a musing about what to do next. As I couldn't do the run on Sunday I decided that yesterday morning would work for me. It's only my fifth 10k run (and my second after a hernia repair back in February which put me out of action for a couple of weeks). As expected

Bronchiectasis diagnosis.....really struggling :(
Now I have an
umbilical
hernia
due to the coughing which needs surgery. That is the least of my worries though .I dont fear pain/surgery but the feeling sometimes of being so breathless is quite scary.

Does anyone know of any exercises you can do with an umbilical hernia?
Without it resulting in sticking out and causing intense sharp pain. Even exercises around the house would help. I would be most grateful for any advice or tips, thanks. Looking for information from nice kind people. ( I know most of you are nice but you do get the very select few).

Part Time PD
Ok, troops. I would like some info. I met with my Neph today. My numbers are great. Phosphorus was at the upper end, but I expected that after Thanksgiving :-) Now that my hernia repair surgery is getting all healed up, looks like I'll be back one the PD train the week after Christmas. So my question

Does the
umbilical
hernia
go away? We have also heard that the fluid usually comes back. Is there away to help keep it from coming back? Does it usually come back immediately? Any insight will help.

Can anyone tell me what this means?
Umbilical

containing fat. IMPRESSION Activity RIGHT third rib again seen, visible on a December PET/CT - might be metastasis although no definite CT abnormality. Trauma seems less likely. Could correlate with MRI if clinically warranted.

Allergic response to Nitrofuantoin
Two weeks ago I developed the urgency and heat associated with cystitis which rapidly developed into a UTI with blood and responded quickly to 3 days of Trimpethoprim which I was able to get without delay from my amazing GP surgery. All seemed fine until yesterday when the heat and urgency returned

Early days
Yesterday we spent 9 hours in A&E where we were told he had an
umbilical
hernia
(another unexpected result of the Cirrohsis). He spent the night in hospital and was told today that they were not going to operate.

Hernia repair
I have ET and need a repair for an inguinal hernia. Does anyone have any advice whether to have open or keyhole surgery? Any problems with bleeding or clotting? Thank you!
