Update to last post: What does T4 do?
She said "your
TSH
is suppressed, but then it has been for a long time and you are taking T3 so....." Woohoo! I went through where I had got to with my thyroid pre B12d issues kicking in and confusing the issue, and what I'm doing about it.

TPO high, GP not helpful, and I’m looking for advice
Last week I got the results which show high TPO antibodies,
TSH
and T3 relatively low and T4 relatively high. It also shows my ferritin and B12 are low, and folate towards the low end of normal range (results attached in case they’re helpful).

Hypothyroidism
I now have my original blood test (only
TSH
) from 9th May 2023, after which I was sent immediately to the doctor and put on 100 mg of (Accord) Levothyroxine. It reads "Serum
TSH
level 18.7 mu/L [0.27 - 4.2]; Above high reference limit".

Refused surgery due to Surpressed TSH
Hi has anyone been refused surgery due to surpressed
TSH
?My daughter is on Armour thyroid. Her
TSH
is surpressed, I know this is normal with NDT. Her T4 and T3 are optimal. She was due to have Gynae surgery in 2 weeks but it has been cancelled due to supressed
TSH
. Any advice what to do ?

Haemolysis
Sent for Monitor my Health blood test for
TSH
, T4+T3. Sent 1st thing Tues am. Only got a response Thurs pm to say test received. Could the delay by Royal Mail have resulted in Haemolysis? My first test in May went thru no probs, other than getting enough blood.

Please could I have help interpreting my new results after 6 weeks adding T3 to my Levo?
My
tsh
has increased but I think I read that most people feel better with a
tsh
of 1 or under, so this is probably worse. I’d like to increase my t3 from 5 to 10 mcgs but not sure if I should change the Levo to a lower dose at the same time.

Mitochondrial failing due to T3 problems
Interestingly, a tumour on the thyroid is more likely to be cancerous if
TSH
levels are high. That indicates my tumour is NOT cancerous as my
TSH
is as low as it can get. Further, non cancerous lumps on the Thyroid can in fact cause low
TSH
.

Why do I suddenly feel terrible but still taking Armour?
Bloods were done mid Feb through my private thyroid doctor:
TSH
= 0.016 (range = 0.27 to 4.2) FT3 = 4.9 (range = 3.1 to 6.8). FT4 = 15.1 (range = 12 to 22) I feel good when my FT3 hovers around 6. It seems to have dropped quite a bit recently but I don't know why.

Getting to the right dose of Levothyroxine
I've read here a lot that people feel better when
TSH
is much lower, and as my
TSH
is still elevated, I'm really confused as to why my GP wouldn't increase my dosage? What have others experienced in terms of getting to their right dosage and
TSH
levels?

Confused with blood tests
I don't understand how my
TSH
is so suppressed but my T3/4 is low. I feel unwell with nervous anxiety and palpitations. I feel over medicated but my T3 says otherwise. I am currently taking 50mcg levo and 4 X metavive each day. I don't understand what's happening and feel very unwell.
