Thyroid Function test
A friend has recently had
TSH
and T4 blood test via GP . I have suggested she join this wonderful community but said I would give her blood test results for your input. She has had a lot of gut issues, brain fog, exhaustion.

T4 low, TSH low side of normal. GP won’t test T3 or refer to endocrinologist.
I don’t know what to do- My recent T4 level was 11, and my
TSH
1.31. I’ve been experiencing hypothyroid symptoms for over 5 years.

My gp doesn’t want to retest
TSH
and I don’t think I have been tested for T3 or T4. Do I need to stop the carbimazole before doing the test and if yes, how long before? I feel so tired in the mornings and I am hoping for an explanation. Than you.

New results - help follow up at 5pm!
of range in same tests my understanding is that my
TSH
should be raised if my T4 is down at the bottom of the range and if it’s not we need to look at pituitary, hypothalamus etc - is that correct?

Can Hashimotos change into hypothyroidism
My current private endocrinologist is good with my
TSH
being around zero and happy with the rest of my results. I told her that my
TSH
had always been around zero since I had RAI treatment in 1979.

Subclinical hypothroidism resolving after 3 weeks?! And TTC/fertility issues
I have been TTC for 4 months with no luck, which I know isn't long. 2 years ago I was told I had subclinical hypothroidism (
TSH
5.5) and other results normal. I did a private test about 3-4 weeks ago and
TSH
was 4.49. I asked GP for advice and they ordered full thyroid tests.

Blood results today from Endo are T4 23.7,
TSH
0.01. So increasing Carbazole now to 10mg twice a day.. My bloods 8 weeks ago meant I could decrease the dose but now increasing again. Have others experienced this up and down during first year of treatment?

Hypothyroidism & Pre-operative blood test results Abnormal
Prior to an operation in 2017 I had pre-operative bloods taken, which included
TSH
and FT4. My blood test results showed that my
TSH
levels were very low and outside reference ranges.

Success Yesterday! I’ve been prescribed T3! But should I reduce my Levothyroxine?
I would really appreciate all and any advice 🙏 My FT4 level is 20.50 (range 12-22), My
TSH
level is O.311 (range 0.27-4.20), and I’m currently taking 75mcg Levothyroxine daily. Grateful thanks as always for your help.

Effects of Levothyroxine
hi everyone, Thanks to some wonderful advice here I have navigated various GPs who initially suggested my symptoms could all be “psychological” The last GP I spoke to looked back at my
TSH
from my last pregnancy and found it had been elevated, and had continued to climb over last 4 years.

HRT, low white blood cell count & NDT
The blood test, apart from obviously showing almost non-extistant
TSH
(which I tried to explain to her) showed a low white blood cell count. She seemed reluctant to prescribe HRT and was concentrating on the WBC count.

Mum's battle
They tested her
TSH
in Hospital after I requested a thyroid test. Her
TSH
is 5.92 and her T4 free serum was 13. The endo says the test won’t be accurate because she is suffering from health problems. The posts on this forum have been eye-opening about the links of hypothyroidism to foot pain.
