Magnitude clinical trial with Niraparib
I have a chance to join the clinical trial with Niraparib. I'm currently stage 4, multiple mets to spine, just starting Zytiga and Prednisone, I have the BRAC mutation. Anyone on this trial or know much about Niraparib? Thanks.

Anavex 2-73 Safely Aids Cognition in Parkinson’s Dementia, Phase 2 Trial Reports
<The results show clinically meaningful, dose-dependent, and statistically significant improvements in the Cognitive Drug Research (CDR) computerized assessment system analysis.> Seems that they will be going into Phase 3 pretty soon. Link below. Also, they will be presenting at the CTAD on Nov.6.

In focus: diet - sugar and carbohydrates
Hello This month in our ‘Health in Focus’ posts, we’re looking at diet. Often, people diagnosed with cancer make changes to their diet because they want to support their health. In these posts, we’ll look at some of the types of food that we are asked about on the support service, whether to eliminate

A Quick Update and Trial Questions
No blog post today, just a few points of interest from my recent past: Yesterday I started cabazitaxel chemo on the advice of Dr. Beltran of Dana Farber. I asked if it would be effective against neuroendocrine cancer, and she said it should. I already have partial biopsy results, the tumor samples

Keytruda-viable option?
Interested in hearing experiences with Keytruda. My Oncologist is suggesting a clinical trial for BRCA2+ and MSS patients, which I have both. Have been on Olaparib for over a year and a half, during most of that time controlling my PSA as undetectable. PSA has now been rising for the past 3 months

Hi guys, so right to it - we got blood work Thursday of last week and it came back lovely except his liver enzymes were slightly elevated. (AST and ALT) luckily not enough to put a stop to treatment. Watchful eye though. He received his treatment on Monday - but before treatment he had an appointment

Hi All, My partner has suffered from OCD for the last 8 years following an accident which nearly killed her. She’s come a long way in recovering but suffers badly from the fear of contamination. I keep an eye out for research on OCD, alternative therapy and anything that may help her. I have discovered

My Unicorn Status
Much to my amazement, and that of my family, friends and medical team, today marks the anniversary of Day One of a 10 year journey with stage 4 lung cancer. My sister calls me a unicorn because 10 year survivors of this disease are not supposed to exist. At the risk of offending Descartes - I exist

Next Steps after Cabazitaxel and Xtandi
I was diagnosed in May of 2016, PSA 16 and Gleason 9/10. The cancer metastasized to 3 bones at that time and I underwent aggressive treatment at NIH with Docetaxel and PROSTVAC along with Lupron. When the PSA started rising again after 18 months, I switched to Standard of Care at home with Xtandi and
