Medications that are BAD for your bones?
Triamcinolone
: Aristocort®, Aristocirt Forte®, Aristospan®, Clinacort®, Kenalog-10®, Kenalog-40®, Triamcot®, Triam-Forte®, Triesense®, etc
If you are taking drugs that can reduce your estrogen or androgen level
Estrogens and androgens, such as testosterone, are hormones that can worsen some

Raging Rash
Triamcinolone
Acetonide gives some relief. Now it is the worst it has been. My MD took me off Ibrutinib for 10 days but it didn't make a difference in the rash. My legs are getting pretty well covered with it now and I don't know what else to do. Any suggestions?

Triamcinolone - anyone tried this?
Hello, I have just come across this drug, recommended for use against hay-fever and other allergies but co-incidentally also helping with RA pain. Does anyone have any experience of this drug please? As I've proved allergic to everything except Naproxen and Oramorph over the past 7 years, I'm curious

SUBGLOTTIC STENOSIS - this rare condition has been included on this site due to it's implication in gastric reflux syndrome*****.

Triamcinolone
injected into the stenotic wound or a topical aziridine compound such as mitomycin C has the potential to reduce fibrosis and can be used in the operative setting. ○ Growing evidence shows efficacy of dilation of the stenotic area as being very helpful.

Spasticity (Triamcinolone Acetonide)
Triamcinolone
Acetonide is a corticosteroid, it's usually sold as a cream for topical treatment. But look at these trials when it is applied intrathecally https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/26584946 https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/25224601 Here is a quote...

Kenalog injection for Aspergillosis Anyone else on this?
Started on Kenalog (
triamcinolone
) 2 months ago and can breathe so much better now. Interested to hear from anyone else with similar experience. Having depot steroid instead of multiple courses of oral steroids seems to have worked thankfully. Just concerned about long term side effects.

non eosinophilic inflamation
He has had 3 months of 80mg
Triamcinolone
under RBH difficult asthma protocol to see if he can stay well - obviously not worked from a symptom point of view but clinically has done it's job as eosinophils dropped from 20% to 1%. So if it isn't eosinophilic inflammation what other type is there?

IV Methylprednisolone
Jay has been having 4 weekly IV infusions instead of
Triamcinolone
injections. I know the
Triamcinolone
is a depot injection and lasts for around 4 weeks but am not sure how IV Methylpred works. He is having it over 1/2 and hour.

How much Pred do you take?
If this is not controlling him he has either had IV hydrocortisone, IM
Triamcinolone
or more recently IV Methylpred.

adrenal suppression
He then had 3 doses of 80mg
Triamcinolone
injections from Sep to Dec with three 5 day courses of 40mg pred as well. Since he stoppped the injections he has had a further 3 short courses (5 - 7 days) of 40mg pred in 1 month, has not grown in the last 5 months and has cushingoid features.

Just a bit fed up and in need of a moan...
He is taking ridiculous amounts of Ventolin, has been on 40mg of Pred for 3 weeks, on top of an 80mg
Triamcinolone
(Kenalog) injection. Docs are now wondering whether the steroids have any effect on his asthma and are running out of ideas as to what to try next.
