I was diagnosed with Angina about 9 years ago and had an angiogram and 3 stents soon after. I take statins and beta blockers and aspirin when I remember (on average every other day) I have no symptoms now other than the fact that I am unable to run far or exert myself too much. I suppose that is down

Muscle pain
I have been taking Lipitor 40mg for 7 months. In my daily activity (just turning off a tap for the dishwasher under the sinkage) I felt like I had torn all the muscles in my right upper arm. This pain and discomfort has not gone away and it seems to be affecting my upper back and neck muscles. I called

Stopping statins and bp meds before blood tests?
Hi. This may be a stupid question but I have to check. Doing a Blue Horizon + 11 test soon and have stopped taking my multivits, but will statins and bp meds (Felodopine a calcium channel blocker) influence the results? I can stop these 48 hours before doing the test if so. I am so new to this and

Cholesterol and cll
I just received my fasting metabolic blood test results and my cholesterol continues to show marked improvement. It has gone from a very high of 300 several years ago to a "normal" of 175. I have read there may be some linkages although not explained between cholesterol and CLL. Has anyone else experienced

No diagnosis - treating symptoms only help please
After my latest test results I've accepted that my symptoms will be treated but not my thyroid. To be fair to my gp, she did all the tests including anti bodies and T3 and they show nothing that indicates a thyroid problem. I'm convinced there is one but I'll just have to be further down the line before

Unable to get my ears pierced until I see my gp
I was due to have my ears pierced today for the very first time. I am 70 and have been a total coward about getting them done. My granddaughter (age 12) was getting hers done and was my moral support but no luck. The place refused to touch me until I get a letter from my gp to say there will be no

Gabapentin and withdrawal
While suffering depression I researched anything that I thought could be causing it and came up with .... Gabapentin! I had already stopped taking Atorvastatin statins because of side effects that had built up over the years so now the Gabapentin has got to go too. Originally prescribed for hot flushes

Fluid around ankles
Good morning everyone, A question please. I take hydroxy 500mg, blood pressure medicine, aspirin and statins. I have fluid around my ankles. Does anyone know if I am able to take something to get rid of the fluid, perhaps a diuretic, with this already complex mix of medicines. Thanks.

Angina
Hi, I wanted to share my experience. In March this year I was diagnosed with angina, with two arteries severely compromised.
