This is my first post and I really don’t know how or where to start. Any suggestions would help.
I have depression and ptsd. December was a very lonely time for me. No family left and I just moved to a new city and I’m having a hard time finding my place. I have two dogs that give me great joy. Thanks for reading.

Hemorrhoids from higher cholesterol
I thought I'd ask if this is common for other people. I suspect my Hemorrhoids have got quite bad as a result of slightly underactive thyroid. My cholesterol is mildly high - 5.7 when it should be below 5. Also I have gilberts syndrome which is high bilirubin. When I fasted or went more than 6 hrs without

I reside in the UK and was diagnosed with Afib in early October and had a mild heart attack, in hospital for five days and given flecainide (50mg twice daily), apixaban (5mg twice daily), statins (40mg once daily) Losartan 5mg (once daily). I have always been intolerant to a lot of medication and vaccinations

nexplanon implant removal
hi ladies, I’ve bled constantly since having my excision surgery in October. Been to my specialist who recommended that I have my implant out and reset my body completely then see about another form of contraceptive control in 3-6 months. Just had my implant removed today. Wondering how long it might

A lightbulb moment
I am currently taking 10mg immediate release Shortec Oxycodone at 6pm, 10pm and again when I need to during the early hours. I manage to get broken sleep which usually equates to 4 hours, which is better than I have had in the past. This works reasonably well, however, from early afternoon my arms

My IBS Team Sheet – 2. Haemorrhoids (How I manage)
I think that having experienced having Haemorrhoids about six years ago that led me to be diagnosed with IBS, the relationship between IBS and Haemorrhoids could be a bit of a Red Herring! To be fair, I have experienced having haemorrhoids once since my first diagnosis, but now that I exercise regular

PIP tribunal TBI

anticoagulants-or not..
I have read a number of articles which I think say that the protocol for when to add to the CHaDs s score for prescribing anticoagulants with AF was based on patients who were very obviously symptomatic whereas many newer patients have fewer symptoms and discover AF through smart watches / other devices

Sitting is a pain 😖
Does anyone experience anal/rectal discomfort when sitting on hard surfaces? I feel it comes and goes. I'm female and don't have hemorrhoids What have doctors told you? Have you been diagnosed with anything? Has anything helped?

Hydroxycarbamide and lungs
I have been on hydroxycarbamide for nearly 9 years with no serious problems, but now I am getting slight breathlessness. I was surprised to read that this medicine can cause interstitial lung disease such as pulmonary fibrosis. I don’t remember it being mentioned on the forum. Of course some diseases

Warfarin
For all those who have been happily on warfarin for years with well-managed INR yet are still being badgered by their GP to change to a DOAC with stories of reduced bleeding risk, this study should set your mind at rest that there is no reason to change whatsoever. 5 years ago my father reluctantly

Just diagnosed with 4.0 cm aneurysm of ascending aorta and severe calcification
Hi Friends I cannot express how shocked and dismayed I am finding out that I have severe calcification of my aorta and a 4.0 cm aneurysm. I have read that the aneurysm can be monitored yearly with imaging but there is nothing that can be done for the calcification. In the past 3 years, I have had

Interesting Article (please read)
came across this article today and would like to know your thoughts: i was swayed by flashy advertising in the late 1990s featuring medical stars like Professor Lord Winston, who convinced me that omega-3 fish oil supplements were essential for my brain and my heart. Fast forward to today, and

Hi, I've recently been diagnosed with Gilbert's syndrome/disease. It was picked up via blood tests. I'm waiting to have a liver scan but the GP hasn't come up with any other plan. My main question at the minute is does anyone suffer with itching. Its not put down as one of the main symptoms but it's

Hiding head injury
Four and a half years ago I had a concussion and I am still experiencing periods in which I have balance and coordination problems, fatigue, can't concentrate and am easily feeling overwhelmed. Since then I have picked up freelance work again, working outdoors and in educational contexts part-time.
