New Onc New Direction
Well it’s been 13 years since diagnosis; G 9, PSA, 4.2 Dr. Dattoli, IMRT, Recurrence; 3 years later, more radiation DART & continued ADT. Then on to Dr. Myers for the next several years where we followed Snuffy’s protocol as best we could. It’s been tough for my husband but he manages to still keep active

Nissen Fundoplication
Hi I'm 1 week post op of a Nissen Fundoplicatin which treats severe acid reflux.. Having this op is what Nick started my diet. Prior to the op I had to go on a liver reducing diet. It was hard. Now I am going through the slow process of getting used to food and I'm on a very sloppy diet. You would think

Does A Plant-based Diet cure Cancer?
I have been doing some research into this area. Firstly, my coeliac diagnosis in 2014 lead to a huge change in diet - no more beer, no more bread, and out went most processed foods due to gluten contents. Then 2 members of my local community PCa support group reported good results from following an

Amazing news
Just wanted to share what has just happened to me to give hope to others who might find themselves in similar circumstances. I am a 56 year old woman who was found to have a cholesterol of 8 three months ago on a routine blood test for something else entirely. My GP wanted to put me onto statins which

Dark circles after transplant
Hi everyone A while after my transplant the area around the eyes got considerably dark, similar to before the surgery. This was more pronounced when I was taking oxycodone. Now that I no longer take oxycodone, I still have dark circles but they're not as noticeable as before. The medications I'm on currently

High Blood Pressure and EP appointment
I was diagnosed with PAF in March and I'm fairly sure it is due to a history of not well controlled high BP and being significantly overweight. I now weigh a lot less but the BP is still an issue. I took a week's readings into my GP surgery and was shocked when my GP phoned me and said they were fine

Cholesterol and brains
Read an interesting article by 'doctor in the house' GP Rangan Chatterjee. The article was discussing migraines. Apparently CoQ10 is prescribed by more and more neurologists for migraine as it reduces the production of free radicals in the brain. It does make you think that research ought to be carried

Hitting a crisis point.
Hi all, I'm Joanne from West Yorkshire, 49 yrs old I have dwarfism, 3ft 9 inch tall. Struggling to lose weight. Currently at 5 stone this morning. 6 weeks after radiation my PSA is still rising
I finished 33 sessions of IMRT on 3 lymph nodes (the only 3 places where the new PET scan specific for prostate cancer revealed cancer) 6 weeks ago but my PSA is still rising. Radiation oncologist said he was disappointed that my PSA didn't stay the same or go down after that amount of time but that
