strep b
Evening all, has anyone had strep b diagnosed? I at 12 weeks tomorrow and had a swab for ?thrush last week which has unfortunately came back as positive for strep b . After doing some research I’ve found out how risky it is for baby. I just feel absolutely at the end of my tether after having 2 miscarriages

BFP but not feeling it...
I know there's lots of posts on here about not actually feeling pregnant in the early stages and lack of symptoms.. but has anyone ever actually been emotionally numb at this point? I'm 13dp5dt, getting BFP since day 9. Slightly sore boobs on and off, I'm usually pretty wild with my temper around this

First transfer…now for the 2WW
Hi everyone! I’ve been dormant for a while as we were waiting to start IVF. We had a fresh transfer on Monday and I was feeling so positive, but I’ve slowly descended into the obsessive and crazy thoughts of the 2WW! I had been doing ok until the embryologist called yesterday to say we only had one

NK cells and immunotesting/ treatment
Hi everyone, I’m 43 have an autoimmune condition and doing two last rounds of IVF banking. We just did a round and got one 4BB which has been sent off for testing. We don’t know if we’ll have any normal embryos to transfer but have had two previous failed transfers with untested embryos… I wonder if

does invisalign plastic influence fertility ? "It starts with the egg" Rebecca Fett
hi all, I am reading the book "It starts with the egg" by Rebecca Fett at the moment, and getting extremely paranoid about the plastic in invisalign (I have been wearing invisaligh for 7 months now and never thought of any danger) . There is a statement on invisalign website that it is BPA and phthalates

Another Blow
So after taking all the supplements that the consultant suggested e.g. Impryl, CQ10 and starting and having to stop DHEA (higher normal range for DHEA-S & testosterone before taking) he’s just today said I only have a 2-5% chance with natural or mild IVF. Also, I explained I was in the upper nomad range

When to tell doctor?
Hello! Might seem like a silly question but when should I tell my GP I'm pregnant? I'm 4weeks5days through IVF so I have a scan booked at the private clinic in 2 weeks do I wait until after that to tell my GP?

Is It Implantation? Can anyone help? Really Need Opinions.
Hi, A bit of our back story: We've been trying for a baby for over 4 years. We fell pregnant a few months in to trying but unfortunately there was no heartbeat at our 12 week scan. Since then we found out there's male and female infertility issues. I have a VERY low AMH level and I don't always ovulate

DHEA supplements - do they affect ovulation?
hi all, I decided to start DHEA before our next IVF/ICSI due to male factor. I have normal ovulation and cycle, this month I noticed I did not have a peak ovulation day. LH was positive for a day and that’s it. My question is, coulld it be the DHEA and all the anti-oxidants I am taking from “It Starts

Fertility referral with children?
Can we ask to be referred to a fertility specialist even though we already have two children? I understand we may not be eligible for IVF but can we still be referred to someone more specialist on the NHS to discuss options / further tests if appropriate or do we have to do everything privately. It’s

*Potentially Sensitive* Bleeding, cramping and faint lines…
I’m 7dp5dt I tested out the trigger, by 4dp it was gone. I’ve had faint lines since 5dp. I think they are (?) getting slightly darker but still faint. Ive had pretty a-symptomatic IVF cycle Yesterday I had a cracking headache that’s lasted over 24hrs, and I had ribbons of brown discharge and

0% Morphology - PGA
hi Having gone through IVF for the second time recently, I was shocked after the retrieval to hear my husbands sperm was poor quality with not even 1 normal looking sperm!! After 3 years TTC and about 7 semen analysis, Morphology was always on the low side of 4% but never 0%! So I couldn’t believe

Jody Day interviewed on Radio 2 today! Empathetic discussion on difficulties of failed IVF
So wonderful to hear Radio 2 - Jeremy Vine show and Jody Day (https://gateway-women.com/) speak about the realities of IVF and difficulties of facing life without children, following on from the Jennifer Anniston revelation. For once our story was told without the miracle baby stories that so often

Hair loss after miscarriage and IVF
Hi Ladies, I hope you're all keeping as well as can be. I had a miscarriage about 6 weeks ago (it was a medical management - due to heartbeat stopping at 6 weeks) but I didn't have the miscarriage until the 9 week mark. I had another previously in July this year. My hair, eyelashes and eyebrows

No of ivf embryo transfers that led to bfp
Good evening all, hope you’re doing okay. I think it’s important to talk about the fact that ivf is not always a cure but is often talked about it in this way and can lead to unmanaged expectations. I for one thought it would work within the first 2 times because we are using donor sperm and I have pcos

IVF vs ICSI for borderline MFI
Hi everyone, I was just wondering if anyone had any thoughts on standard IVF vs ICSI if you have MFI but it’s not too bad? We conceived naturally 3 times…one early loss, one living daughter (4yo) and then a daughter we lost to PPROM/premature labour (2 years ago). After losing our daughter we TTC for

Donor eggs - any advice on feelings?
Dear all, I am considering a donor egg journey next year - I am completely new to this world (although not IVF!). I recognise all the positives, but I was hoping anyone could shed light on the more difficult aspects (potentially feelings at the beginning of the process or even during pregnancy/after
