Light at the end of the tunnel?
After suffering with endo for what seems like a lifetime, I am booked in for a hysterectomy at the end of July. Up until 8 months ago I was having the Prostap injecton which worked for a long time and kept symptoms pretty much at bay. Following a bone density scan they found some bone density loss

How long does cramping last after mirena insertion? Thanks
Hi, I had an investigative lap 2 weeks and 3 days ago and they also inserted the mirena coil for me. I have had cramps ever since that seem to be getting worse. I have also had what I would call really bad PMT symptoms, crying, irritable, temper, headache, back ache etc. I have had to take tramadol and

Prostap/Zoladex? Am I imagining this?
The reason I went on Prostap is because irrespective of the endo symptoms, my mood swings & anxiety levels had become out of control. At 43, I have been symptom-wise recognised as being peri menopausal for about 6 yrs now since the birth of my daughter. Low Oestrogen blood tests & symptoms have

Pain in groin and down legs during and after exercise.... Is it my Endo? Or a muscular problem? And how do I find out?
Hi Ladies, I've been exercising for just over 2 months now, in a bid to rid my gained prostap weight and get a bit 'fighting fit' so I can give up my injections and start a family. To begin with, exercising was absolutely fine. The first 6 weeks were really positive, and I found if I had my endo

I have no clue what to do next, I have endo but specialist centre says it isn't causing my chronic pain and they don't know what is.
Well, I have just had my 4th lap (this one at a specialist centre) and have been told they don't know what is causing my chronic pain. I have had a twisted ovary from a dermoid cyst, removal of the cyst and the ovary, lots of adhesiolysis and was diagnosed with endo last year what was diathermised.

Will this belly stop growing??
Today I woke up with the biggest belly I have had since pregnant. I can only assume, coupled with period pain and back ache, it's a side effect of the prostap injection. Nobody tells you that this drug will do this to you. Yes you know you're going to get hot sweats, insomnia etc but this today

Is this normal? Pain everywhere can hardly move?
For the last couple of weeks i have become increasingly stiff and ache everywhere in joints, cant move today at all. Without excruciating pain, just laid in bed crying, am on my fourth prostap injection and take oxycodone tramadol and naproxen daily. Does anyone know what's happening to me, don't know

Bowel prep help
Hi girls I'm booked in for my 2nd lap soon, and my 1st bowel prep! Can anyone share experiences with me please? And did you vomit with it too? Dreading this next lap, it was too extensive to treat on my first lap so having 3 months of prostap then excision, I have stage 4 and it's on my bladder

After lap, Prostap versus diet/yoga to manage endo?
Hi, three weeks ago I had a lap to remove stage IV endo. I've been told I need to have 6 months of Prostap to reduce the chances of the endo recurring. I've done some research and understand that the Prostap may reduce the severity of recurring endo but won't stop it completely. I'm also anxious about

Does anyone know anything about egg-freezing when there is a risk of ovary removal?
Am due to have a laparotomy next week to remove a 15cm ovarian cyst and have division of adhesions. I had a laparoscopy in July last year and have been taking Prostap but my cysts have grown back regardless and the largest is so big this time that they cant see what it is attached to. My consultant

So confused with it all :(
Had my second lap three weeks ago which just showed scarring no active endo so they have just left it. Have been on prostap since October which was hell to begin with but the last two months I seemed to be getting less pain, I am right in thinking being on prostap won't give them the full picture as

So frustrated and confused
I was diagnosed with Stage 3/4 endometriosis in December following a laparoscopy. My left ovary is stuck into my bowel. I have had three doses of prostap which has not reduced the pain at all. I have just had a MRI scan which has shown no major endometriosis? but shows that my bowel is still stuck

Is prostap worth it?
Hi, I have been advised to begin a 6 month course of prostap to help my symptoms of endo and fibroids (currently around 5cms). I have heard all the usual horror stories about side effects but I am most terrified about the chance that my periods may not return afterwards and I will struggle to get pregnant

So Frustrated!
Hi there, hope everyone is as well as possible today. I apologise in advance but I'm feeling really low and frustrated today and I can't pinpoint exactly why. The pain is back again, it came on last night while I was at work and it has kept me awake most of the night. I'm back at work today and have

At the end of my tether...
Hi everyone, I've been reading bits on this website since september, when I was diagnosed with endo, and it's been a massive help to me but this week I'm actually about at the end of my tether and decided it might help me to actually get involved rather than just read! So, last year I was in a
