Anyone had a Preserflo Micro Shunt ?
Expecting a
Trabeculectomy
next week , I have now been offered a Preserflo Micro Shunt instead. I see there are many benefits with the shunt , especially a shorter operation and fewer hospital visits which may be less risky with Covid about.

I have been anticipating a
Trabeculectomy
in a few weeks and have a pre op check next week. This morning I recieved a 3 page letter to say that the operation would be cancelled and I may have to wait up to 6 months.

Trabeculectomy reversal
I had a
trabeculectomy
13 months ago in my right eye. The pressure lowered well but the bleb leaked causing a blister of liquid to form on the outer corner of my eye. It's painful, debilitating and had such an impact on my life.

Watering eyes following a trabeculectomy
Three months ago I had a
trabeculectomy
. I have normal tension glaucoma. Following the removal of a suture by laser, I have had weeks of discomfort, increased sensitivity to glare and a continual flow of tears from the eye that was operated on.

Has anyone information about Flammer syndrome? I have frequent disc haemorrhages, low BMI, low B/P and Raynaud's.
I am due to have a
Trabeculectomy
(Covid permitting) in a few weeks.I was diagnosed in 2016 and am on Lumigan and Simbrinza drops. Both Laser treatments lasted about 6 months. Any tips on helping to avoid complications of surgery would be greatly appreciated please?

Allergy to Cosopt
In the last 10 years she’s had a deep scelerotomy in one eye and a
trabeculectomy
in the other, also cataract surgery in one eye. Drops are continued in both eyes to keep pressures low. Her consultant had said that further surgery is not advised as her eyes are too fragile.

Surgery option (trabectome vs trabeculectomy)
My doctor indicated it may not be as effective as
trabeculectomy
. After the last visit, I will return in 4 weeks (which is next week) to check the visual field, then perhaps confirmed the next step.

Questions for endocrinologist
(I have bilateral normal tension glaucoma but after
trabeculectomy
in both eyes, my vision has been stable.) I’m currently on Propranalol (10mg thrice a day) and Carbimazole (20mg once a day). Thankfully I haven’t got any side effects yet from Carbimazole (have been on it for the last 3 weeks).

Eye durgery and Warfarin.
I'm wondering if anyone has had eye surgery (cataract or
trabeculectomy
) whilst on warfarin? I've read up on a lot of (scary) stuff on line which isn't always a good thing! The ops can result on eye bleeds but generally not. It's something I will obviously raise at the pre-op meeting.
