I’ve been using it for about 8 months and still suffer from moderately painful headaches that start within a few hours of the injection but subside after 24hrs. It’s been reasonably

Leg Pain pt 3
Writing again because one of you lovely people suggested I saw my MRI results for myself. She was right, my doctor said it was wear and tear in the back. Keep taking the painkillers and walk. But I did see the results and it is Grade 1 degenerative spondylolisthesis. He did not suggest physio. But

GCA relapse?
I finally tapered off steroids April 2023 after 18 months. Over the last few weeks my headaches have returned daily- bilateral temples. My head just feels woozy and ‘full’ . Hard to describe. Scalp ‘burns’ but is not sensitive to touch. So fatigued I just can’t do much of anything. Went to rheum and

Staying on 5mg indefinitely.....
Forgive me if I've brought this up before but after my rheumatologist advised me that there are little or no side effects when on 7.5mg prednisolone providing one takes the right precautions - Calcium, Vit D supplements and healthy eating habits e.g. low or no sugar, low or no carbs, etc. I thought I

I have arrived at a place I never thought I would - 1mg Pred reduced from 60mg in early 2020 when I was diagnosed with GCA. It’s taken me a long time to reduce due to recurrent symptoms when reducing. It’s been a slow process but I’ve been helped my members of this community and my consultant. I have

problems after ablation
my husband had his ablation on 12th June and has had problems every since. He didn’t have any episodes in the year leading up to it but was advised to have it as he can’t tolerate the medication. He has been getting episodes every day then 6 weeks post ablation developed a chronic cough and breathing

anyone have achy legs
I’m learning so much from reading everyone’s posts. Unfortunately I am still trying to figure out what is going on with my legs. I know I have a component of RLS as my legs feel like a “current” is running through them when I am sitting for long periods, watching Tv in evenings and laying in bed.

Steroid injection in shoulder joint
I had a steroid injection in my left shoulder on Thurs pm (after waiting about 6 months). The doctor administering it, advised me to postpone a forthcoming shingles jab, but I forgot to ask him if I should continue to take methotrexate (due Fri - i opted to skip it this week) and my 2 weekly Imraldi

Can pred cause dementia-like symptoms?
Hi everyone, Something is very wrong with me. I feel like I have some kind of dementia. I work from home (mostly phone, emails and internet, nothing physical), but I can't seem to manage it anymore. My career is falling apart. Tasks that have always been easy for me now make me want to scream, and

no pred. before an ultrasound? And increasing dose of pred.
Next week I am having an ultrasound test on my hands and wrists which have become very painful after a flare in May. Should I not take any pred. on the day of the test? Also, I have recently increased my pred. dose from 3 to 5 mg because my hands are so painful and useless. I have been on 5 for 4 days

Sciatica
Hi all. I have been suffering with back pain for several years. In regards to medication, you name it, I've tried it. I've have two lots of steroid injections which had no effect whatsoever and then finally in 2022 I had radio frequency ablation which was brilliant. I had instant relief from this. I

Tezepelumab/Spirometry with Reversibility
Hi, hope everyone is managing well. I’m just looking to hear others experiences if possible. I’m quite complex and don’t show a high FeNO and spirometry is normal and my asthma is driven by neutrophils for inflammation. Best peak flow is 440, hovering around 220-350 - 220 is pre meds in the morning

Severe Rash associated with RA?
Has anyone ever had a severe rash which has been attributed to RA? I’m on day 7 of what the doctor initially thought was a drug allergy rash (due to an antibiotic antifungal mouth treatment) but it has continued to get worse. It’s flaming red, hot and itchy and is starting to peel. Currently covers 70%

steroid injections
I had a steroid injection in my low back yesterday. This was to help nerve pain I have been having in my thigh. Today, could I use the steroid from this having this shot of steroid from this injection as a way to decrease my daily steroid by 1/2- 1mg.? Will that work? Hope that makes sense😊
