Good PMR specialist in Bristol/WestonSM?
GP diagnosed me with PMR in May 2022. I had difficulties reducing below 18mg so she referred me to a consultant at Bristol Royal Infirmary. He is very kind and sympathetic but refuses to confirm the diagnosis of PMR. He says I am too young - I’m 56 - and he’s run every test in the book on me (MRI, PET

steroid taper heart rate
Im slowly tapering steroids as previously posted . I m now down to 3mgms / 4 mgms . This last week my Oura ring tells me my heart rate is raised . Normally middle 50s ,now middle 60s . Could this be the adrenals being kicked or some infection ? Any ideas anyone ? Thanks

Depo-Medrone 120 jab. How long do the effects last?
I have recently been diagnosed with PMR. High CRP (65), badly swollen hand and shoulder pain/winged scapula. Whilst waiting for an official diagnosis I was taking Naproxen for the pain which gave me some relief. As I had responded relatively well to Naproxen the rheumatologist said he would try me with

symptoms 7 weeks post stopping steroids
Good morning all, I stopped my steroids 7 weeks ago after 4 years, all very slowly. It’s all been good but started to some aches and pains a couple of weeks ago. I am dog walking without any problems, but yesterday when out shopping, I just had to rest, as my hips were aching and I felt fatigued.

Further Advice on raised CRP Levels and tight leg muscles
I posted about my raised CRP levels about 15 days ago when I reported that in August they were 13.6 when I was on 4.5 of pred. I treated that as a flare and dropped back to 5. Then on the 17 0ctober they went to 17.6 again I treated that as a flare and dropped back to 6. They then went to 55.4 which

Maybe not PMR update 5 years on
Good morning after 5 years next month on steroids with a PMR diagnosis I am headed down a different treatment path. I spoke to a musculoskeletal specialist in UK who questioned if I had ever had PMR due to my original diagnosis blood test showing a CRP result of 6 and an ESR of 1, whilst acknowledging

Weight loss with psoriasis
Hello, does anyone have any advice on how to lose a few pounds if you have psoriasis problems? I take a variety of steroids very often, and unfortunately despite eating healthy, I can't reduce my body weight, my doctor tells me to just eat healthy but also not to deprive myself of nutritional value.

Our Brazilian cleaner says as she breezes in every week! Advice please. GP put my Steroids up from 2mg to 15mg for 2wks to reduce the high inflammation markers. I was also Pre Diabetic but my new regime of very low sugar diet worked so no longer. All levels came right down CRP 59 to 23 etc. GP suggests

Allergic Asthma
Hi AllLooking for advice or perhaps just to know that I'm not alone and someone else found their way off this merry go round. I'm a 59 year old Developer and was very keen on sport all my life. Both my grandfather's died of lung "disease" (I watched one taking his last breaths, horrible). My GP warned
