EMED A200 Piston Nebuliser.
Just back home from Hospital with pneumonia Good morning all COPD Warriors, thankfully I am back home from now after a stay in hospital with pneumonia. whilst I was in hospital my Respiratory Nurses noticed that it was time for my nebuliser to be serviced as it had been 12 months since last done.

Asthma attack from air freshener at work
I had an asthma attack caused by a strong plug-in air freshener at work (which the manager refused to turn off despite me pleading with her) and had to go home as I couldn’t breathe & a very tight chest pain, GP prescribed Prednisolone and issued a sick note for 7 days but still chest pain and another

Looks Like My Cholesterol Is High, Yikes
I've spent the best part of the day at my local hospital today. I saw my GP as I'd been experiencing increasing shortness of breath over the last week or so and as I had pericarditis last summer I think they wanted to be sure it wasnt anything similar. So I got sent to the one stop shop aka SDEC, same

Oxygen levels
I have had COPD for around 15 years and it is getting steadily worse. I have the normal inhalers , have a air physio device, a nebuliser and recently have been accepted for oxygen therapy. On my last visit to hospital I was given the device that checks your oxygen levels. As I have only had this device

Recovering after hospital stay
I’m wondering if anyone can tell me what to expect next. I had Covid at the end of January. I felt very flu like for a couple of days then okay for a few days. After that I got a cold and a chesty cough. The cough was only occasional. At the end of last week I started to feel flu like again. I decided

Another Nebuliser question
Hi - I've been watching tthe discussions about nebulisers. For some time I have thought one might be helpful (COPD severe). My COPD team were fairly unhelpful but the respiritory nurse at my GP surgery as just prescribed some Salbutamol nebules. She is now away on holiday. I have bought myself a portable

Good sats - so why so breathless?
THAT is indeed the question. Why, with my peripheral O2 levels at 94/5 %even 96% am I still fighting to breath? It goes like this. I wake short of breath. I rise and take my Oximeter (I have several; they all show the same) . My level is, say 92%. I do controlled breathing using a computer monitor

Biologics
Hi - following on from my previous posts, has anyone been rejected for biologics due to their inhaled steroid dose being high? I have Seretide 250mcg x2 puffs twice daily and pulmicort nebs 2mg twice daily. They’re saying the high doses of inhaled steroids are the cause of my infections, but I’m colonised

15 year AF story
First episode of AF about 15 years ago. Heart rate ~155. Would sometimes reset itself. Initially fixed with Flecanide, then Amiodorone. Flecanide then inadequate and I suffered a very unpleasant fainting/blackout reaction to amiodorone when an IV drip was started in A&E. So further episodes sorted by
