Baffled not sure what to think? Is it asthma or not?
So post hospital D/C where I was for 5 days relvar changed to fostair 200/6
tiotropium
, avyms, loratadine 10mg, Piriton 12mg a day prednisolone now 15mg (fluctuates between 10mg- 40mg since jan)as it's part of the problem and I need to come off it - agreed 🙂 so I asked for the plan of coming off?

Meds I'm on - relvar 184/22,
tiotropium
, montelukast, avyms, loratadine, prednisone was on 40mg reduced 10mg weekly got to 10mg maintenance last fri, last night back up to 20mg 😪. Zerobase gel and emollient for eczema and itchy hands and feet... So my lungs really do hate me atm.

Strange Chest Ache in the Morning
However I was just wondering if anyone else has this symptom: I currently take fostair 200, montelukast, spiriva respimat (
tiotropium
) and a nasal spray for chronic sinusitis + or minus steroids and antibiotics.

Received shielding letter, unsure why.
All I can think, and this seems a stretch, is that last January when I had my asthma check-up the practice nurse basically wouldn't let me leave without prescribing
tiotropium
.

Hospital admission bad asthma with no wheeze
Once they realised this they prescribed
Tiotropium
alongside Salbutamol to be given together via nebs. This combination really seems to have helped me. Thought I would share in case it helps others who do not wheeze. I am a bit more stable now.

Fostair - So far so good!
What I was dreading was similar to the previous 'maintenance' inhalers,
Tiotropium
& Aclidinium, both of which delivered a paradoxic reaction & had to be stopped. No coughing at al now, & my evening dose of Salbutamol is no longer needed so far, thankfully!

Inhaled steroids may not work for half of asthma patients.
A new trial suggests that for the ~50% of asthma patients with low sputum eosinophils, inhaled steroids are no better than placebo, and neither was

Osteoporosis at 53 due to steroids
I now take a smaller dose and am using
tiotropium
too. I also take omeprazole for reflux. I feel really down about it, I just didn't expect the gp to tell me this after my bone scan. Is there anyone else that's had a similar diagnosis at a fairly young age?

Shock results
Result I had to go back on previous inhalers which are Braltus(
tiotropium
) & Duoresp Spiromax(budesonide) Had these few years! & of course Ventolin Salbutamol as & when for many years ! I really don’t know what I feel like! Not good but not that bad considering such a drop in my lung function!

Constant shortness of breath with good sats.
My inhalers don’t seem to be helping me, i am on ventolin, spiriva (
tiotropium
) and fostair 200/6 along side with prednisolone and carbocisteine 375mg. Could someone please give me any advise as to what this could possibly be as i don’t want to waste time at A&E. Thank you.

Spiriva respimat.
Tiotropium
inhalers have been available internationally for some years but a new device known as
Tiotropium
Respimat was launched more recently and licensed for use in the UK and Europe.

My Weird Symptoms How Do Yours Rate?
I take Flutiform - A daily antihistamine -
Tiotropium
. I am getting worse. Sometimes I wonder if the drugs are making me worse than they are better!

Appt with consultant
I was told 8 yrs ago I had mild emphysema and given
Tiotropium
I have been fine all this time. 6/8 months ago I started getting more breathless until now going up stairs or uphill is a bit of a nightmare. I have a blue inhaler but it doesn’t help.

Tiotropium Inhaler (your opinion of, please)
Was invited to try this for my Asthma, but am somewhat reluctant as - the more meds that get added to a daily regime - the more opportunity for side-effects and interactions with other drugs. Interested to learn of others experiences with this Inhaler. Thanks in advance for any Comment.
