Trabeculectomy recovery
Hello everyone I'm now nearly 8 weeks post op from a combined lens extraction and trabeculectomy in my right eye. Recovery has been... a process but so far everything has been going well but I'm a little concerned as my eyeball has become quite hard/firm when I try to massage it, just over the last

This might end your uveitis problems
Several times a year I had to go to eye causality and get treated (maxidex,
timoptol
) with sometimes iop up to 54. I was tested for virtually everything that might triggers this.

Traumatic afternoon at eye clinic UPDATE
Further to my post sent yesterday. Just had a call from the consultant's secretary. After looking at my notes, which had turned up, the doctor I saw on Monday wants me to try the eye drops she prescribed. According to her I am not allergic to Timolol, only to the other ingredient - Bimatoprost. How

Traumatic afternoon at eye clinic!
Had an appointment yesterday afternoon at 1.45pm to check my eye pressures. Got there, only to be told that my appointment for some unknown reason had been cancelled! I hadn't received any communication to let me know, so had to wait for about 20 minutes while the receptionist looked for my notes and

Emergency cataract operation
As I have bilateral pseudoexfoliation and my left eye pressure is now above 30, and risen on each recent visit my consultant decided today that the way forward is an emergency cataract operation. Where can I get Iopidine preservative free eye drops?
Can anyone help me find a pharmacist that can supply the Iopidine preservative free eye drops that I was prescribed on March 26th. Boots after three attempts have said they can’t get them, phoned eye hospital today and they have said I need to find them as they can’t help me even though they prescribed

Help can’t get eye drops
Hi Everyone Happy Easter 🐣 Due to very high pressures my consultant has tried me on dorzolamide, which unfortunately I had a bad reaction to. The latest new drop is Iopidine, which after days of trying my pharmacist says they are not able to source. It will be almost two weeks without the new drops

How do I accept the news of some vision loss?
7weeks ago I received a diagnosis of glaucoma in both eyes. Am in a state of utter shock & worry. A healthy 59yr old woman traumatised & very low (am usually chirpy). High pressures of 30 since 2018 & failed many field tests in right eye. My comments since 2019 to my optician of greyness in my right

I have very recently been diagnosed with Glaucoma, does anyone here use Eysano eye drops? Are they as good as Timolol eye drops? I am a contact lens wearer and hoping to carry on wearing them. Any info greatly received.

Long running prescription issues
I've had problems getting my drops for the last year, can get all my other meds with no problems, but recently it's getting really bad, I should get 10ml Dorzolomide& Timolol monthly, the last 2 scripts had given me 5ml, enough for 2 weeks, also it appears that GP surgery have over ruled the eye hospital

Usage of Timolol is suitable for night time?
Hi all, There are some advices that Timolol is not effective at night time for reducing IOP. And as it has a side effect to lower blood pressure, it seems using this before sleeping may bring some risk to optic nerve (as low blood pressure with high IOP at night can lead to low perfusion pressure,
