Does a papillary tumour mean it was cancer?
Hello, So there was an incidental finding of a 5mm papillary tumour found inside my thyroid when they examined it after my total
thyroidectomy
. Does this mean it was cancer? I've been diagnosed with Graves' Disease for nearly 4 years and never had an ultrasound.

HYPOTHYROID or HYPERTHYROID???
I had total
thyroidectomy
August 2017 for multinodular nodules. Biopsy showed papillary carcinoma, so I had total
thyroidectomy
August 2017. It has been a struggle since surgery. The first two weeks after surgery, I felt the best in four years.

Cancerous tumour
I went for my post op yesterday, it’s now roughly 3 weeks since total
thyroidectomy
. The specialist told me they found a tumour ( cancerous) within the thyroid. I was so shocked I didn’t really hear much of what he said after that. He said a cancer support nurse will call me next week.

Partial thyroidectomy
Hi everyone I had a partial
thyroidectomy
last year in August. Every month since the surgery I have steadily felt worse! My endo placed me on a low dose of t4 which is only 50mcg and without telling him I added 5mcg of t3 to the dose as he won’t agree.

Fertility and no thyroid
My fertility doc suggested it might be my TSH, which is suppressed due to cancer (total
thyroidectomy
). She’s queried whether I could raise my TSH temporarily as optimum TSH for falling pregnant is between 1 and 2, which I have significant concerns about as I feel very well on a day to day basis.

Extending sick note
My sick note is due to run out after Thursday but I'm still experiencing symptoms post total
thyroidectomy
. The hospital have booked me in for an appointment next Monday to get me checked over so I'm not sure how I go about getting my sick note extended so it covers Friday onwards?

Newbie Hypothyroid
Hi, I had total
thyroidectomy
in 2017 due to multi-nodular goitre. Since then I’ve had lots of symptoms from flushing, anxiety, can’t tolerate heat, muscle pains etc. I was originally on 100 mg of Levo and I couldn’t tolerate Teva so I asked the GP to reduce to 75.
