First test results after adding T3 - I’m confused!
Hi everyone, I’d really appreciate your help with my latest results and welcome ideas for suggested next steps. Just a reminder, I currently self-treat. In October I posted the following results (Randox) whilst on 62.5mcg of Levo (Eutirox): TSH 1.44 (0.35-5.5) FT4 18.2 (11.9-21.6) FT3 3.96 (3.1

Recent blood tests
Hi, can anybody offer any guidance on my blood tests. I have paid to have them done by blue horizon. My blood was done at 8.45 before taking any medication. I take levo 175 one day followed by 150 the next. B12 supplement. I have been suffering from a feeling of being on a boat with weak legs. Bad brain

DEXA scan result Poor. What to do about T3? Endocrinologist unhappy with suppressed TSH even before DEXA. How do I advocate for myself now?!
Afternoon All, I’ve just received a letter from my Second Opinion Endocrinologist with the results of my first ever DEXA scan. She is not happy. T Scores (no idea what any of this means, btw!): -1.6 L spine, -0.4 total hip, -0.9 NOF A few months back I was told by Endocrinologist One to reduce my

I’m 60yoF, partial hysterectomy years ago. After hysterectomy was dx hashimotos. On levothyroxine 75mcg, continuously wt gain despite walking 7-10 miles daily. Eat healthy most often as an educated nutritionist. I convinced my MD to try Metformin to see if any help. MD would only order 500 once daily

low tsh but still hypothyroid
hi I keep getting bloods every 6-8 weeks from my doctor as my tsh level is constantly below 0.01…. I am on 75mcg of levo one night and then 100mcg of levo the next as told by my doctor. But I’m still having all the symptoms still of being underactive. When I was on 100-120mcg daily I felt so much better

Increase needed but do I increase T4 or T3?
I have added liothyronine to my levothyroxine. My latest results indicate that an increase in one or the other is needed. Medichecks and Monitor My Health use the same ranges. 18.8.23 Medichecks (112.5 mcg levothyroxine only) TSH 0.101 mu/L (0.27-4.2) FT3 3.9 pmol/L (3.1-6.8) 21.62% through

Borderline results but feel dreadful!
Hi everyone, I would love some advice! I went to my doctors as ever since having my youngest child (nearly 4 years ago) I haven’t ever felt back to normal. I keep going back to GP (see a different one each time unfortunately) and feel slightly fobbed off. Last GP tested thyroid and hormone levels.

Update on my post earlier this week. Re Private GP advice - due to under medication.
Results from blood tests on Wednesday.TSH 6.87 (0.4 - 5.4) T4 13.1 (11.5 - 22.7) Assuming my GP will now agree to give me an increase! 🤞 I'll go prepared. I think I'll still end up needing some help to get to an optimal level, at some point in the future. So grateful for all your support and information

Hashimotos - understanding latest blood test results - any advice for next steps?
Hi all, my partner (44F) has been struggling with hypothyroid / possible PCOS symptoms for ~18 months (thinning hair all over, some hirsutism and weight gain). She was diagnosed with Hashimotos in October 2022. We have been trying an approach to tackle both the thyroid issues and the hyperandrogenism

How stable should TSH be?
Hi. I have a few things going on that I'm getting checked by the GP, but they keep refusing to check my T4 level so I have gone privately - thanks to advice on this forum. In the meantime, I'm trying to make sense of the data I do have. How widely should TSH vary in someone who has been taking the same

UK guidelines for management of thyroid nodules?
As the title says, are there any official UK guidelines for management of thyroid nodules? I've googled but can't really find anything... I have a 3cm x 3cm colloid thyroid nodule and a few smaller colloid and spongiform nodules – seen on ultrasound after I noticed a visible lump in my neck. The consultant

Longevity, demographic characteristics, and socio- economic status are linked to triiodothyronine levels in the general population

Private endo
Hi, I’ve found a private endo that works at a hospital near me, Professor Parag Singhal, apparently according to his blurb he uses NDT and other combinations. He’s not on the Thyroid UK list as far as I can see, so just wondering if anyone here has used him? If you have and can give me feedback of your
