Hi everyone im 52 and just been told I have severe arthritis in my left hip. Its my knee that hurts not my hip. I need a hip replacement as soon as possible. I'm in shock as I wasn't expecting it. I feel totally lost as to what to do. I go to the gym regularly and don't know what will help or make

What a scary, sudden onset to Psoriatic Rheumatoid Arthritis . For a while I thought I had Frozen Shoulders and pain from carting heavy cases. And working hard. Then in agony I went to my GP and was quickly diagnosed. It was a huge shock! Just been given a script for Duloxetine for pain, I think I

RA and breast reduction
I am looking into a breast reduction and have rheumatoid arthritis and was wondering if anyone has had the surgery before with RA? Or would you suggest it or not.

So now it's psyriasis arthritis
Saw my consultant today and after a scan of my wonky foot and further discussion he now feels my condition is psyriasis arthritis. At this point the flood gates opened.... tears and self pity and anger with the world... Y is this happening to me. It is to me just more of the unknown. So my meds r changing

Hello everyone. Even though I'm quite new here, I noticed that there are many of you who have been through a lot of things and therefore, maybe there's someone here who might give me a piece of advice. Is there a connection with Hypothyroidism and arthritis
Does anyone know if there is a connection between arthritis and hypothyroidism? I have osteoarthritis in both knees and lots of foot pain although no arthritis but have just been told I have osteoarthritis in both elbows now too. I had bloods for inflammatory markers done and they were normal apparently

Coincidence?
Does anyone have or know anyone who has both psoriatic arthritis AND epilepsy? My stepdaughter has both but medics tell me it’s entirely coincidental. What’s your experience?

Thyroid Levels
I have notorious low levels of T3,FT4 and FT3 (when endo orders) and very low TSH. My Endo is concerned with very low TSH "BUT" no matter how much my thyroid meds are reduced MY LEVELS still drop to low levels NOT raise which is the theory behind reduction of meds. Anyway, I have been battling psoriatic

Calf Pain with Rheumatoid Arthritis
Is it normal to experience muscle pains with RA? I've never had it before, but recently since my knees and hips have been playing up, I've noticed a throbbing pain in my right calf (I haven't done any exercise to provoke it). It shoots down my leg to my ankle and feels really tensed up. Just wondering

Say no to arthritis,IBS,sinus problems and more.
For years I was so ill I didn't really want to live as I had so many things wrong with me and doctors did various tests and came to the conclusion I was a hypochondriac. I had to crawl upstairs, sell my motorbike as arthritis was taking over. IBS was making my life a misery and severe sinus headaches

Knee Surgery/PMR/GCA
So I am curious, a number of folks seem to have had knee issues, needed knee replacement and also have PMR and/or GCA. I am wondering just how prevalent the knee replacement need is with those who have PMR or GCA. Personally, I have known for 10 years that I have needed both knees replaced, I am bone

Thought I would come on and say hi and have a nose through experiences as i don't necessarily fit the 'norm' criteria i believe?? I may have an inflammatory arthritis, i may not. Any advice or experiences greatly received :-) so... I have had odd joint pains dating from 2013..... However, things seemed

Foot surgery in rheumatoid arthritis
Hello, I’m new here but would like some input from others about foot surgery in rheumatoid arthritis. My feet are very deformed from arthritis. I saw a surgeon last week who said he can put a metal rod into my big toes to straighten them and then remove parts of the bones on the remaining toes to make
