TSH T3 and T4 NHS Test results via GP
I've just seen the test results online and note differences from the test via Medichecks on March 9th (see previous post) Test done just after 8am - fasting with only water - thyroxin over 24 hours before. TSH is higher at 1.73 - on March 9th it was 0.69 - so quite a bit worse (same range for both

This sounds encouraging
At least this admits a lack of scientific knowledge on the subject. And it acknowledges the individuality of patients which would discourage a one-fits-all approach. Much work still has to be done. "Lastly, substitution therapy may be complicated by interindividual variations of deiodination. The question

antidepressants and the thyroid
Is there any evidence that antidepressants affect the role of the thyroid (production/conversion of thyroxine etc)? Any information gratefully appreciated.

Borderline results but feel dreadful!
Hi everyone, I would love some advice! I went to my doctors as ever since having my youngest child (nearly 4 years ago) I haven’t ever felt back to normal. I keep going back to GP (see a different one each time unfortunately) and feel slightly fobbed off. Last GP tested thyroid and hormone levels.

Rang my GP got a blood
test
last week. Results: TSH: 2.91 (0.35-5.5)
T4
: 13.9 (10.5-21.0) I’m tested annually anyway and results from January 2023: TSH: 1.94 T4: 15.7 ranges as above. GP says I’m in range still and he wants to test for for diabetes, anemia and look at menopause.

How stable should TSH be?
Hi. I have a few things going on that I'm getting checked by the GP, but they keep refusing to check my T4 level so I have gone privately - thanks to advice on this forum. In the meantime, I'm trying to make sense of the data I do have. How widely should TSH vary in someone who has been taking the same
