Understanding results
I have just got my blood results back and the doctors where not very helpful. I'm just trying to understand each part. TSH - 6.5 mlU/L (0.30 - 4.50) Free T4 - 10.1 pmol/l (10.0 - 22.0) TPO antibodies, Positive - 104 (0.0- 34.0) Any help so I can try to make a plan on what to do next would be appreciated

STUPID question alert. Primary or secondary hypothyroidism?
Too much time today for pondering but not enough clarity to make sense of anything. So after 2nd child born, (6th) pregnancy, developed a goitre. Got really anxious by the speed with which medics reacted. Bloods done I think, obviously probably just told all was normal 🤦♀️. Had a fine needle aspiration

[T3] Tips on taking T3
Hello, Right now I'm taking T4 along with T3, how should I go about taking the T3? Right now I'm taking 10mcg in the morning and 10mcg in the afternoon. Can I take the full dose at the start of the day as I'm still cold with the 10mcg and I mainly have the energy after the 2nd dose, so until the afternoon

Secondary hypothyroidism
Has anyone had problems with central hypothyroidism and their tsh going to zero. Doctor refusing to raise levothyroxine because it will suppress tsh to much but my free t4 really needs a raise. Does a low tsh really cause afib and osteoarthritis or is this false.

Test results show no inflammation
I posted here 4 months ago and got my blood tested by the GP. There are no inflammatory markers in my blood, but I have a constant sore throat and dry eyes which are also beginning to suffer with high pressure. I am paying privately to have my eyes checked out by a specialist, but I just wanted to check

Can levothyroxine cause hypothyroidism?
This happened about 25 years ago: I had hashimoto's and a large goiter, but tsh and thyroid hormones were normal. Before starting levo I had some symptoms: dry, fine hair, some cognitive issues... but I felt almost healthy and was active 17 hours a day). When levo was prescribed, I felt very cold and

starting t3, t4 combination
Hi, I am hoping to benefit from the experience of others before me. I am currently on 125 mcg Levothyroxine. I will be starting a trial of t3 and t4 combined next week. The consultant is prescribing 75mcg Levo and 10 mcg Liothyronine. She said it would be fine to start on new doses straight away.

what are optimal T3 and T4 levels?
Hello, i had my endocrinologist appt and she didn't seem particularly interested in my -low free T4 levels (several times they have been under range or at the very bottom of the range) -free T3 which last time it was checked was 3.89 in range 3.1-6.8 she has done more bloods, if they are the same

Appointment on tuesday
Having been on the waiting list to see an endocrinologist, I have now got an appointment on Tuesday (cancellation). In my previous posts I asked about my results as I thought there was a possibility I might have secondary hypothyroidism as both tsh and free T4 are at the lower end of normal. I had private

T4 high range advice please
Hi I’m just looking for some advice please these are my latest results. As you will see T4 always seems to be in the higher range whilst T3 the lower end of the range. Just wondering if a small amount of Liothyronine were to be added how does it actually work? For example would it raise T3 whilst lowering
