TSH/T4 Ranges - Change?
Hi there, my friend has a TSH which is 32.9 and T4 is 5,2 and has been told this is normal by the GP practice. I don't see how they can even attempt to state this. I just wondered if the ranges had been changed, as my friend's results do not show this information? We live in South Cumbria. Thank you.

Recently diagnosed under active thyroid - Hashimoto's, bit confusing!
So pleased to have found this forum! I had a routine blood test followed by a call from the GP asking me questions about how i was feeling. I get tired easily but put all symptoms like that down to getting older and haven't really any other symptoms. I had glandular fever age 18 and since then have

Armour thyroid
I have been on armour for several years and my endo is aware. 2 months ago I had a blood test which showed my levels were fairly low, TSH was 8 ish and t3 and t4 were low. So I increased my dose slightly whilst waiting for a further endo appointment. Within a couple of weeks I was hyper, no blood test

Omeprazole, T3 & acid issues-advice appreciated
Hello everyone, Advice/observations appreciated on any of the following from you knowledgeable people. I know that PPIs can cause issues with T4 and are advised for short term use only and should be taken at least 4 hours away from Levo but what about T3, any restrictions on leaving a time lapse? Asking

TSH and

so never get the full profile. I was told your results are fine it’s not the cause of the fatigue. I also had zero negative poly arthritis/fibromyalgia which as you’ll know main symptoms of which are fatigue and aching muscles.

Sharing this Norfolk info on fighting your ICB. Hope it inspires people to form local groups.
Some members may have heard of Thyroid Support Group Norfolk (TSGN). We're a Facebook group, formed in summer 2017 to support patients in Norfolk or near just across the boundaries. In 2017 we took on the 5 Norfolk & Waveney CCGs, fighting for T3 to be reinstated on the Norfolk formulary. It was 3

Following my push to try and increase my FT3 levels (see my post of a few weeks ago) 3 weeks ago my consultant suggested I increase my Levo from 125mcg to 137.5 mcg for 2 months as he thought this might increase my T3, he had my graphs showing my FT3 was then at 15%. 2 weeks into the increase, which

Thyroid Test results
We'd be really grateful for any feedback on my husband's thyroid test results taken at 8.45am before breakfast. (Blue Horizon Gold). He has been diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome for 10 plus years and there is a history in his family of thyroid problems. We are trying to get a clearer picture

weight gain
Morning everyone, I was told by a nurse practitioner this week that the fact my T4 level is low since they changed my Thyroxine dose from 100mg to 75mg has nothing to do with my recent weight gain - her argument being that she doesn’t have a thyroid and she’s not overweight. My diet hasn’t changed

hi I am a 63 year old lady. I was diagnosed with over active thyroid at 18. Ended up having radioactive treatment at 24 then at 28 a complete thyroidectomy. Have been on thyroxine since then - at one point was prescribed the expensive one ( can’t remember the name ) my gp stopped that as too expensive

Endocrinologist has reduced Thyroid meds *again* due to suppressed TSH from T3. Argh!
Hi All, After a blood test a few months back I was asked to decrease my T3 dose so they could increase my T4 prescription. Despite a marked increase in hypothyroid symptoms in the months since the T3 drop and T4 raise, today a second endocrinologist has asked me to now drop the T4 a dose too as my TSH

Good news - After Endo
Well, what can I say? I went to my Endo appointment on Thursday armed with research papers, questions and my stand on having my thyroid taken out or ablated. Quite surprisingly, I saw a different consultant to the previous one I had seen last year, who sent me a letter stating that if I came back,

is it worth trying t3?
Please see my last post for some context. I am just feeling so lost and wondering if t3 might be my answer? Levo only seems to calm some of my symptoms but also brings side effects I cannot tolerate. Levo just pushes my t4 over range and my t3 doesn’t budge and is actually lower on levo than it was

New blood test
Hi all, please see my latest blood test results below, done at 9am, fasted, last dose of levo 24 hours before, ceased biotin, b12 and b complex supplements 7 days before the test. I was slightly over range on my last blood test result and SlowDragon advised me to retest in 6 weeks to see if still over

Doctor Listened and Agreed.
Yesterday I had a return visit appointment for something other than my thyroid. During the visit I told the doctor that the blood test taken the week before after a change in dosage was useless because only TSH and T4 had been tested, and that to make any sort of sense of it I needed T3 as well which
