I am looking to finding a thyroid specialist in Nottingham. Somebody who specialises in the thyroid gland only, looked at healthunlocked list and I cannot see anybody in Nottingham. Not looking for somebody you find when you see them deals in diabetes more than thyroid. Happy to go private. Looks like

Trying LDN and have pain in feet and hands, anyone else with increased pain?
Hi everyone, I have had Hashis for 30 years and take 100 mg Synthroid and 5 mcg of Cytomel. My TSH is low and my T3 is barely hanging in there , my vitamin levels are good , I avoid gluten so my endo is letting me do a trial of LDN. I started at 1.5 for 10 days, 3 for 10 days and now 4.5 for a month

Tiny Levo increase but FT4 well over range
Just got results back from MMH. I’ll add historical results for comparison but they may be irrelevant as I am where I am! I take Levo only. Ranges were 3.1-6 for FT3 and 12-22 for all tests. 2021 on 100mcg TSH 0.01 FT4 24.9=129% (12-22) FT3 6.5=91.89% (3.1-6.8) Note: insomnia much improved

Ferritin dropping, FT3 is not great
Hello wise ones. I'm coming up to a year since a diagnosis of Hashimotos, and on Levothyroxine. I've been trying to get the dosage increased in tiny increments of 12.5 ug after each blood test. So far I've been successful but it feels like slow progress. I'm currently taking 87.5 ug daily. My doctor

iron test results - advice on supplements
My iron panel results are just in. Everything is in range though my ferritin just makes it and is very low. I eat an iron rich diet and have been for several months, even before the extra focus it was pretty good. I’m also gluten free. I’d like to raise ferritin and be at optimal levels before exploring

Morning all, I’m awake early feeling like total rubbish so thought I’d jump on and share in the hope that someone can shed light on my baffling blood test results which came through on Friday! I’ve been on 75mcg Levothyroxine and 15mcg T3 for the last 6 weeks (having slowly increased T3 from nothing

T3 Headaches Should I Continue?

stopping T4 query
Had a call from my endocrinologist today told me to stop taking levo and to take only t3 twice per day 10/10. I was taking 75mg of levo and 5/10 T3. So no reduction of levo bit by bit is what I would have thought. My Tsh is suppressed at 0.03. Has anyone been told just to stop levothyroxine and take

Bioton & testing + another question....
Guys, How long do you have to stop taking biotin before doing your thyroid bloods? I've heard 2 days is sufficient..... And can someone tell me the difference in licensed T3 (liothyronine) & unlicensed? Not that I'm on T3, but I'm wondering... Cheers

Hi everyone, just a bit of background info: These are my NHS test results from Nov 2023: t4 13.8 (7-17) tsh 0.10 (0.20 - 4.50) although the TSH came back slightly under range at that time, thankfully the GP said “no action” so I have carried on with 75mcg (have been having my usual brands - no

Hello lovely people Could I possibly ask for some advice please? I've been having a bit of a drama with my medication and treatment from an NHS endo. My latest blood test results are TSH 0.04 (0.27-4.2) FT4 23.1 (12-22) FT3 4.7 (3.1-6.8) I moved to west Wales last spring. Until last summer I was
