Asthma Mystery
I am on
Symbicort
200 / 6 ... doing TWO puffs a day. I should also mention that exercising relieves the chest tightness too, and sometimes very quickly.

Just diagnosed with asthma.33y old female.Taking prednisone, duoneb (ipratropium bromide and albuterol), advair hfa, ventolin, montelukast.
I think I might not be tolerating well budesonide which also is part of
symbicort
. And maybe because of that my asthma didn't improve over last couple of weeks. Today was my first time using 60 mg of prednisone and advair.

Choking on water, coughing, short of breath
I am on a fair amount of medication, including 300mg Uniphyllin twice daily,
Symbicort
200/6 twice daily, Pulmicort and Montelukast. Since January, I’ve now had my 4th (or 5th) lot of steroids for what was described as “crackling” in my lower right lung.

Fostair vs symbicort
I asked my nurse about trying fostair and she said there’s no point because it’s so similar to
symbicort
. Has anyone tried fostair and
symbicort
and found fostair works better for them?

Struggling
Moved to
symbicort
in March (200/6, 1 puff twice a day). I actually had complete control of symptoms for the first few days, then it declined again. Upped
symbicort
dose to 2 puffs twice a day (on nurse's recommendation) and added daily antihistamines in case pollen was a factor.

COPD
After years of tests I have recently been diagnosed with COPD and have been taking Braltus and
Symbicort
which together seemed helpful for a while but my cough is bad again. Has anyone else taken these (I believe Braltus has replaced Spiriva) and gone on to other medications with better results?

Uniphyllin?
I also take spiriva,
symbicort
400/12 - twice a day, ventolin, lansoparzole and Avamys. However I’ve been on those for years so can’t imagine any of those causing it. I’ve not had a nebuliser and not needed to take my ventolin for the past few days. Thanks in advance

Symbicort mouthpiece (new here!)
Hi everyone, new here :) I moved to
symbicort
last Friday, after clenil/montelukast failed to control my symptoms, and it has been working wonders for my breathing.

Never been recalled since then, till Nov 19 when developed "chest infection" put on antibiotic plus steroids and also added in cleanil to take as well told by doctor this should have been issued when originally taken of

Croaky voice with bronchiectasis?
GP prescribed
Symbicort
100, plus Ventolin for ‘emergency’ use - but I’m not sure that either has much effect, so have stopped using. Also because I had read that
Symbicort
might be the cause of croaky voice which was being a problem.

Am I getting the right help for my asthma?
I am on
symbicort
4 puffs daily. My peak flow is ok but can vary a bit. But every morning I have congestion and productive cough which leaves me shaking. I have never smoked. I have wondered about silent GERD and bronchiecstasis but doctors dont ever follow up this morning issue.

Hello
Symbicort
200/6 and Ventolin. Mometazone for chronic Rhinitis. Cetrizine all year round. I am a professional carer. And frustrated at being locked down. But happy to be alive.

Symbicort 200
I was given this in January when my asthma was quite bad following a cold. I had 2 puffs morning and night. After a while it was reduced to 1 puff morning and night and I have been great, only using my Ventolin a couple of times in all that time. Over the past week or so my asthma has got worse again

Symbicort turbo inhaler
Morning , I’ve just started using
Symbicort
Turbo inhaler 100/6 2 puffs x2 day ( GP prescribed Fostair 100/6 originally but no sign of it in pharmacies anywhere in my area!) I primed it as instructed but after two puffs I didn’t feel I’d inhaled anything! Is that usual ?
