JUST JOINED - EMPHYSEMA - CHEST INFECTION ADVISE
Since 2014 I have been ok, still working and I was
swimming
5 times a week. But at the end of Jan I caught a cold/flu bug that became a chest infection, and after 3 lots of antibiotics and steroids, this brought my O2 stats down to 50%.

Advice on Blue Horizon thyroid blood results please
Original symptoms of shortness of breath, fatigue, mouth sores, irritability, balance problems and
swimming
head. Last two symptoms have been helped by b12 but shortness of breath now a real problem. I struggle to walk upstairs or any hill.

Turnaround time for Blue Horizons?
Original symptoms of balance problem and
swimming
head so much better. TSH was 3.07 last month (non fasting) and 4.95 fasting last year. Ferritin rising at 49, vitamin D 70 and folate increased again at 23.4. MCH above range at 33.4, I think from memory. Thanks in advance.

Absolutely pouring down but needed to get out and back before the kids
swimming
lesson so needed to crack on. Learnt that my running jacket isn’t waterproof, my tracker pauses every time a wet sleeve touches it and wet runners are very amusing to elderly ladies in the village.

Calf problem advice please!
Yesterday the pain was there but bearable so I went
swimming
for one hour, followed by a sauna. No pain during
swimming
nor today. As I was pain free I did run 3 and again no pain during the run but it reappeared about an hour and a half after the run. Has anyone experienced anything similar?

Every little thing
Part of my safety plan is to exercise, I have chosen
swimming
. I was diligent I got up early grabbed my swim bag and went to the pool. I opened my bag and no swim suit. Fudge! So I took a shower and went to work. I also forgot my glasses.

The amazing London2Brighton Challenge: a novel 😀🐮
I struggled with it through the Brighton and London marathons, and in the five weeks since London I had not run at all, relying upon
swimming
, weight-lifting, and long walks, to keep me fit. In the end the calf didn't give me much trouble, but this new bum problem proved to be a game-changer!

Newly Diagnosed Or Not ?
I’m
swimming
eating well and trying to relax - doing breathing mindfulness etc - I’m due to go on holiday next week and am so scared of being ill on the plane and feeling poorly all week - I’m wondering if I’ll ever feel well and back to how I was before my op - I have no idea what’s happened to my body

Week 6 bagged!!
I found doing other things during the week, like Pilates and
swimming
helped with the sore legs. This programme is so well conceived that even a long-time non-runner like me (we are talking very long time!!) is getting the hang of it! Good luck to everybody and thanks again for the encouragement!

Help please fellow runners!!
The paths in the woods were pretty awful, slush and ice, and it was such hard going - it felt like I was
swimming
in treacle! Legs felt ok, but stamina was way down.
