CATARACT SURGERY & PRED
Today they called to say I could have my right eye cataract
surgery
done this Monday. Do you think it advisable to do so and also, if I do should I drop the pred back down to 11 mg starting tonight? I would not like waiting til July, but is it worth risking whatever.

AVR surgery tomorrow!
Hoping and praying that my
surgery
doesn’t get cancelled again. I’m second on the list tomorrow at midday. Absolutely terrified. Wish me luck!

Recent diagnosis - What was your radiation experience?
I'm debating between the open
surgery
(the nodule is not in an easy location) or targeting radiation. I'm scared of recovery from the
surgery
, but I'm also scared of potential long-term side effects from radiation.

He has started excreting mucus and poo 'normally' which we understand is quite common post
surgery
but it is causing him some pain. Is the pain normal? Also, at times he is struggling to pee.

Open Heart Surgery Groups
I live in Brighton and I recently had open heart
surgery
(at The Royal Brompton in London) Does anyone know of any support groups for people who have been through similar
surgery
. I am in my 40s but would love to have people to chat to of any age who have been through the same thing.

surgery
.. any advice on what to expect?

How long after excision laparoscopy can I drive, exercise etc
I've had a painful period and painful ovulation since my
surgery
. Really hoping that's just because I'm still healing internally and not because
surgery
hasn't worked. Also when is it OK to have intercourse again. Many thanks

Two weeks post surgery now
Two weeks post
surgery
now and I still can’t help feeling how different this is from my previous two. I’ve called the hospital twice regarding ‘complications’ (or so I think but they don’t).
