CABG update
So here goes - at The Royal Brompton with one last night before my triple CABG tomorrow - being woken up @ 6am before being taken down to
surgery
. Suddenly it’s all got a bit ‘real’ - oh well, what’s the worst that could happen………….

Simvastatin v Atorvastatin
Just had a conversation with my
Surgery
employed Pharmacist. she asked me if I would object to switching from Simvastatin to Atorvastatin as the Simvastatin was rather an old drug. I was put on it around 2007. I told her to go ahead ... no problems.

Indeterminate liver lesion
Straight to
surgery
? My liver specialist says I can choose which route I'd like to go but I'm lost. I would love some help and guidance, thank you. I'm just 37 years old very healthy, no symptoms, have 3 kids and I am so worried!

First Period after lap
Has anyone experienced a more painful period after
surgery
? It’s worse than when I had endo! Has anyone also been on Ryeqo? If so, how did you find it? x

Waiting for bypass
Unable to stents lad put balloon stents in, on dual platelet therapy while waiting to get on bypass
surgery
list. Wait is making me very anxious. Managed to keep up moderate excersise. But don't understand why they want to see how I go on, surely it will only get worse.

Warfarin to Edoxaban
This due to my GP
surgery
merger with a bigger practice. Warfarin was my only option in 2013 before these new drugs became available. I'm told it's safer and no INR blood tests. I'd like to know if I still need to avoid the same food when on Warfarin e.g cranberries, grapefruit etc.

Fed up and so exhausted 😩
After that 2nd
surgery
I had ANOTHER operation as my scar tissue had fused my ovary to my bowel. I was told that had to be my last operation as " it looks like a bomb has gone off inside".I am without a plan to help me have a quality of life worth while.

Complex ovarian cyst surgery
Now as I’ve entered menopause last year, I really think that
surgery
is my best option. I don’t have a family history of breast or ovarian cancer, but there were other cancers on my father’s side. Did anyone here have a more complicared health history with major
surgery
?

A lot to process
It's been 9 weeks since I was diagnosed with coronary artery disease and I'm schedule for
surgery
on the 25th September. My head hurts processing the information and and I'm hoping my surgeon has excellent knife skills 🙂

prostap and bleeding
My third
surgery
was 7th sept this year. They put me on prostap (started 8th sept) and kept my Merina coil in. I have had merinas for 10 years with no bleeding at all. This morning, I have woken up to heavy bleeding. Has anyone else experienced this?

MVR surgery - scars?
Am 59 and on waiting list for Mitral Valve
surgery
in West London. Apart from the standard fear/concern about the
surgery
itself I am thinking about recovery time and also the scarring? I realise every case is different but if anyone can share and offer thoughts I’d be very grateful.

Needing to hear some encouraging stories about stage 4 inoperable OC
Unfortunately the
surgery
was attempted after 3 and now after 6 they Fuad keyhole
surgery
to see if the full op is possible and it is not. I’m devastated to not have the
surgery
as in my head that might have bought me 5 years time.

SPINAL INJECTIONS
I know they were placed around the FACET joints but my MRI highlights other areas to try the jabs BEFORE
surgery
. I lost my father in law during a routine hernia operation, complications and he died.

GCA symptoms
Developed GCA after cataract
surgery
within 4 days. Finally recognized by great Rheumatologist. I'm being treated with 8mls. liquid prednisolone twice a day. So far so good. Dr. recommended slow taper 1mls per week. Will start tomorrow. I hope I can keep to new schedule.
