Ropinirole vs Buprenorphine!
I had a phone call from 1 Dr. who told me that Ropinirole would cure my RLS and was annoyed that I wouldn't take them. He decided to get the head of the Surgery to phone me to try to put pressure on me ! I did say that the 10 mcg had helped me a little bit but I would like a stronger patch . A few day's

Has anyone else struggled after catheter?
I had my endo and fibroids excised on Saturday. I'm hoping it's enough otherwise I'll be back for a hysterectomy to get rid of the adeno too. I found out the day before surgery I would be catheterised. This was fine until the catherer was removed a day later, when I really struggled to empty my bladder

Just reaching out to other ladies going through FETs with Endometriosis before lap surgery. does anyone have any positive stories? If IVF doesn’t work out this year was going to look into Lap surgery. I am on the waiting list to see a gynaecologist, but the waiting list is a year ! In my area.

Violent shaking
Hi, everybody. I was diagnosed November 2019 and have tapered to 3mgs a day. I was woken at 3.30 this morning by the badger eating the food we put out for it in the garden. The tin it's under makes a noise. I started to feel a bit strange with the familiar shoulder aches, but then gradually started

Looking for TKR advice
Hello everyone. I’m a 55 year old male who has had knee problems for the majority of my life. I think it originated from sports injuries as a schoolboy but I remember twisting it while at work when I was about 17 too. I have a long history of having treatment for knee problems including 2 or 3 arthroscopy

Dear all, I will keep this brief so that I don't bore anyone! I am 55 yr female, and to my horror, fractured T12 out of the blue one morning two and a half years ago. Little did I think it was a fracture, so I walked and went to the gym for 4 days. This is with evolving neurological signs. Anyway,

secondary hypo and doctor questioning diagnosis
Hello everyone, I moved to a new GP in the last few years (house move). When I moved, my doctor just continued prescribing levothyroxine because it was on my records and although he wasn't testing T3 he did look at T4 and seemed to listen to me when I explained the levels I needed to be at, in order

Most know the story. Something I can't figure out.
Most people here know my wife's story and went to the hospital with Eshauphageal erosion, but a typo on her Chart (Fibrosis vs Cirrhosis) had a dramatic impact. Doctors thought they were dealing with Cirrhosis vs NASH with Fibrosis. That was tracked down to a dictaphone error. In reality, two weeks

Explained to my anaesthetist i was very anxious, he made sure i was given a strong painkiller as soon as i was in the anaesthetic room

Hi all, I wanted to ask if there is any hypo/Hashi’s folk on this forum who has the same or similar presentation to me. Birth control for PCOS and ENDO
Hi girlies!! I was diagnosed with PCOS 2 years ago and was put on the Mirena coil to help relieve symptoms and to balance out my hormones. Last week I had my first diagnostic and excision surgery for Endo where they found Endo in my pelvis and around my ovaries. I still have the Mirena coil in place

psoas Muscle Tumors
my OVCA metastasized to my Psoas muscle 6 years after preliminary OVCA diagnosis. Various chemo and immunotherapy are helping keep it contained. Has anyone had surgery for removal of a psoas tumor? I’d love to hear from you. Thank you.

Good news - After Endo
Well, what can I say? I went to my Endo appointment on Thursday armed with research papers, questions and my stand on having my thyroid taken out or ablated. Quite surprisingly, I saw a different consultant to the previous one I had seen last year, who sent me a letter stating that if I came back,
