Painkiller for after Dental Procedure
So next week I’m going to my dental surgery to get three tooth implants. The first session is when they drill metal rods into the bone. Once the local anaesthetic wears off it’s very painful. I’ve had one done before now this time three at once!! Last time I didn’t know about my CKD so as I can’t take

Surgery
So on Tuesday the 27th I will be going to the doctor about my fingers. They are performing what is called an angiogram extremity’s bilateral procedure, they are gonna go in and put dye in my fingers to see where the blood flow stops and I’m mostly likely going to be losing the tip of my middle finger

Recurrent meningitis
Hi, I'm looking to connect or share experiences with anyone who has had multiple cases of meningitis and is currently at risk of meningitis due to a csf leak? My csf leak is from a traumatic injury and I've had 3 surgical attempts to fix the leak. I've had 2 cases of meningitis, and both were before

Any suggestions please.
Hello. I wonder if you would be kind enough to give me your views on my latest results please. I currently take 100mcg thyroxine at bedtime. My GP withdrew my T3 ( 5mcg) around 5 years ago. Apparently it doesn't work and was too expensive. I feel dreadful. I'm underweight with a BMI of 18 and on top

endometriosis on uterine artery.
I had my second surgery yesterday. Surgeon removed a lot of endo but was unable to remove it from my uterine artery due to the risk of hysterectomy and we would like to have another baby at some point before I go down this route. I was just wondering if anyone else has this? Were you able to conceive

Fibroscan
Hi, I've posted asking this before, but unfortunately didn't get any response. I'm wondering if anyone can tell me where I can get a private Fibroscan? I'm in the UK. I have been referred to Hepatology due to the surgeon seeing "extensive fibrotic changes" of my liver during gallbladder surgery back

hello, My mum sent me this information with the hopes that I can find support and information as I’m starting out my journey. I had been having irregular periods and lower back pain for a few months. I would take medication and just push on. In December, I had such severe pain I called my husband

Gastric endo - help!
I haven’t posted in the longest time but really need some help. I have extensive disease requiring surgery, thought to be bowel involvement. MRI due in the next week. I’ve been having dreadful constipation the last few weeks requiring manual evacuation (sorry TMI but it has been awful). Then two days

Scan shows spreading despite chemo but surgery going ahead..confused 🤔
Hello alI I have stage 4 clear cell carcinoma, had a scan this week and got the results today. My gynae nurse said she could only tell me what was written on a scrap bit of paper which left me with more questions than answers (not impressed with this). I will call again next week but meantime wondered

Omeprazole use
I am a long term user of Omeprazole along with a lot of other meds including aspirin. I had diarrhea at first but it did settle down. In the 80s I had serious ulcer issues resulting in major surgery and had Omeprazole been around then that would not of happened. Acid reflux can cause idiopathic pulmonary

Advice please
Hi everyone, I’m fairly new to this group and was worried about posting but I’m feeling so lost. I am waiting on a diagnostic laparoscopy for potential endo. Pelvic pain started around a year and a half ago. I have had an internal ultrasound which only showed a small intramural fibroid but I was told

Holistic tips to alleviate pain
Hi, I would like to know if anyone has any holistic tips to help deal with endometriosis. I have just had an appointment with my gynaecologist, and they strongly recommend I have my second surgery in spring. However, I have asked if this could be delayed as im currently in my final year at university

Hi there, Had a overall physical of everything which included PSA which was 6 in 2016 and didn't put any attention to it and ignored it, nobody I spoke with who saw the report said to do anything. No family history of prostate cancer that I know of. Now 7 years later age 64, PSA 18, Free PSA 11%

Hi all. I suffer with Severe Spinal Stenosis. I’ve already had Laminectomy (Decompression) surgery which only worked for about 3 months the pain then returned. This has been going on for the last 5 years and, unfortunately, in the meantime I had to have a Triple Heart Bypass and Mitral Valve Repair
