Advice for operation
Hi All,I'm scheduled for my debulking surgery next week, I've been told to expect to be in hospital for 7-10 and will almost certainly have a stoma. Does anyone have any advice for me on what to take to hospital, and how to manage those first few days after the op? Any food to avoid, and any food recommended

The Stoma Begining
I’ve had prior Cancers like Bowell Cancer, Stage3 Testicular Cancer which are in remission and then Bladder Cancer. It was cleared but I was having Cystoscopies every 3mths to ensure the Bladder Cancer hadn’t returned. But what happened the last one which was in February my Urologist found the Bladder

scleroderma and faecal incontinence
morning. I’m struggling with this at the moment and it’s limiting me to what I can do. I’ve seen a surgeon recently who mentioned a stoma as a last resort but I’m not sure about it. I’m not suitable for a rectal stimulator. I’m using pads and loperamide but wondered if anyone else has a similar problem

I am now in the hospital after the reversal of the
stoma
. Needless to say, I am very pleased but the
surgery
was not simple. I pray to God that I don't have to go through this experience again. What are your thoughts on all the new trials and approvals that are going on regarding ovarian cancer?

My story
Hi, it all started by going into hospital for day surgery for Hemorrhoids. Within 36 hours my wife had taken me back to A & E with a high heart rate and low blood pressure. I was also in a lot of pain, which I put down to the surgery for Hemorrhoids. I was soon in majors and within a few hours I was

Night only output!
Hey, newly installed loop ileostomy (2 months), and having a lot of troubles with eating still. Was advised to eat small portions of soft food for a while before getting more ambitious. This was going well, fairly consistent output from the stoma after eating until it wasn’t. Now digestion seems like

Severe Bowel Endo/ Adeno
Hi all, posting for the first time just for a bit of support and to see if someone has been in a similar position. I have been going back and forth to the GP since 2016 with pelvic pain, tiredness and extreme bloating. I was told I had Ibs , however the pain was always in my pelvic area, heavy periods

Not finding yourself pretty
Hello yall, My story is simple... i was pretty before, but i had a brown birthmark on my cheek, and simply, i didnt fell like it was my calling to 'stay' that way... I had surgery to remove thr birthmark at 15 years old... Surgery went well, but it left me with 'dog ears' at both endings of the scar

Private Endo Surgery
Hi everyone, For those of you who have had surgery for endo treated privately can you share what I can expect at my inital consultation, what next steps were? I have preemptively sent my most recent MRI/Ultrasound and medical history. Was an examination carried out at first consult? I’ve realised today

Hubbys assessment and now me. (Menopause and liver???)
So hubby had his second assessment ant the beginning of May and it went ok. As I thought might be the case they have given him another month to build him up and get him strong before they make the final decision. I can see that he wouldn’t cope with surgery at the mo so we are ok with the results.

Disappointed
After Lupron, NUBEQA and Zytega … and a recent FDG Cat scan Several nodes lit up in the periodonal aorta area of his abdomen. Being totally right up against the aorta, a decision was made to remove them robotically. Surgery went well. All lymph’s were removed that lit up on the scan. docs felt PSA
