Hypermobility Syndrome diagnosis-anyone else been referred to University College of London HMS Clinic?
Hi, just wondered if anybody out there has HMS and has been to the University College of London for appraisal? I have an interview coming up with them this week and I am wondering what to expect!? Been such a long road to get there, taken years of misdiagnosis (put it down to menopause and osteoarthritis

Bilateral Trochanteric Bursitis
Has anyone suffered from this? I'm new here. I have had it for 3 years now and I am looking for options as it is really affecting my life. I have tried steroid injections, medications etc but had no luck. I am looking into a bursectomy. Has anyone had this on the NHS? Thanks :)

Bad day.
Have pain in hips and pelvic. Trouble being down. Getting myself dressed is laughable if it weren't real. Had rituximab infusion last week and had problems with heart rate. Second one next week. Having a flare up that my right hand is itching so much I have broken the skin and drawn blood with scratching

A little bit about me and asking about pain with Steroid Injection in buttocks
Hi, This is my first post here so hello everyone! I was diagnosed with RA last July and started taking Methotrexate in October. Unfortunately I have been off the meth for a month now as it was doing my liver in. I’m currently having blood tests every two weeks to check my liver and am waiting for it

Rash over RA/OA joints
Hi all, I’ve had RA for 11 years and this year have developed OA in some fingers and my big toes. About a week ago my toes were very bad as my steroid injections into them are wearing off....so they swelled and were hot.....since then I have a rash on both big toe joints..,,,not itchy but seems permanent

My Rhuemy wishes to start me on it but I'm a bit nervous. I only take 400mg of Hydroxchloroquine for my condition at the moment (and steroid injections

Just to make you all green....
I was quite anxious about my visit to the GP this morning as I was a bit in defiance of my very sensible Rheumy, and was seeking his collusion. He has been on holiday for the past two weeks. He knew about my flare ie; bursitis,'housemaid's knee' and carpel tunnel recurrence, from before his hol, so

It looks like I will most like...
It looks like I will most likely be having a c section tomorrow as one of my girls hasn’t grown as much as should of gaining only 1lb and at 4lb 6 isn’t an ideal weight . My other girl has lost some fluid surrounding her. And is weighing 4lb 8 . They are keeping me in hospital tonight for steroid injections

Steroid injection and after
Am still contemplating and resisting this. A further worry is, in the event the injection is successful, the temptation to overdo everything and get back to normal life would be extremely difficult to resist. Meanwhile, underneath the condition would be deteriorating unknowingly and could end up further

Hypothyroidism and Rheumatoid Arthritis Symptoms.
I have been told by my consultant that I have rheumatoid arthritis even though x-rays don't show anything and I haven't had an ultrasound scan. Can hypothyroidism mimic the same joint pain as RA? I changed to NDT to reduce muscle pain amongst other things after being on Levothyroxine for 10 years, but

Acupuncture
Has anyone had acupuncture for severe back pain? I have had four lumbar spinal fusions, all failed, and now steroid injection has been suggested. I am very against this for many reasons but am a big fan of acupuncture for general health. Has anyone had needles down the spine and on the operation site

Acupuncture for back pain after spinal fusions
Has anyone tried this? Had the spinal needles yesterday and it was marvellous afterwards. Today feel really awful, in pain again and very depressed. The accupuncturist is no charlatan and top class in the profession. Obviously will be needing several sessions and I believe the results are cumulative

PMR newly diagnosed
Hi everyone, this is my first post. I was originally following the Psoriatic Arthritis posts but last week have now been given a PMR diagnosis. To give you a picture of my story, I was 53 years old when I came down with sudden pain and stiffness in my thighs, upper arms and neck in May 2017. Since then
