Dexa scan
I was told by my GP that I “might as well” take it when started on
Steroids
. I hated the ritual of having to get up earlier on the day I had to take it and then when I read various things on here I really felt I didn’t need it. I’ve had to wait 4 months since I asked to be referred.

I’m scared
I need to stay on
steroids
now for longer and then reduce more slowly. My blood tests are all good and I feel well but this has scared me . I should have asked more questions

Steroid tapering
Feeling very unwell especially overnight which is the furthest point in any 24 hours from taking the
steroids
. I realise there will be a delay before my body compensates by making additional cortisol itself and I may have to grit my teeth and get through that.

So after being on Methotrexate (injections) for 2 years since diagnosis and feeling dreadful on it (swollen fingers, nausea, constant headaches, depression) I last injected on 18th December 2023. Needless to say my RA is raging in every joint now! Just had a steroid injection and being screened for

Leg Pain pt 3
Writing again because one of you lovely people suggested I saw my MRI results for myself. She was right, my doctor said it was wear and tear in the back. Keep taking the painkillers and walk. But I did see the results and it is Grade 1 degenerative spondylolisthesis. He did not suggest physio. But

swollen feet
hi all I’ve had fm for about 8 years, probably longer but wasn’t aware of fm before that, but recently my feet have been very swollen, I’m taking
steroids
at the moment because I have COPD , the swelling has started to go down, but I wondered if any one has suffered with this because of fm

I started
steroids
and antibiotics from the respiratory nurse on Wednesday but I've never known
steroids
do so little! I'm on the MART scheme but completely maxed out on Symbicort so have been supplementing with a blue.

anyone have achy legs
I’m learning so much from reading everyone’s posts. Unfortunately I am still trying to figure out what is going on with my legs. I know I have a component of RLS as my legs feel like a “current” is running through them when I am sitting for long periods, watching Tv in evenings and laying in bed.

Steroid injection in shoulder joint
I had a steroid injection in my left shoulder on Thurs pm (after waiting about 6 months). The doctor administering it, advised me to postpone a forthcoming shingles jab, but I forgot to ask him if I should continue to take methotrexate (due Fri - i opted to skip it this week) and my 2 weekly Imraldi

Altruist
This pattern wasn't crystal clear then or after returning home because I was so full of antibiotics,
steroids
and who knows what else. I couldn't tell anymore what was causing what. Since arriving home, I'd at least been able to return to good food and care, and I was thinking clearer.

Morphea treatment - PUVA or triamcinolone injections?
hello, looking for a bit of advice as I was diagnosed with Morphea a few months ago. I’m under the care of dermatology department. It affects my whole left arm, part of my rib cage and some of my right arm. The worst area is around my left wrist where the skin is particularly tight around the joint

Could my new statins have upset the Apple cart?
I am due to see a Rheumatologist this week to investigate possible alternative diagnosis of PMR and the arthritis in my thumbs and hands which has probably been concealed by the
steroids
. Also to hopefully put my mind at rest about the pain in my jaw and chin.
