Persistent low grade fever
He advised he felt it was COPD and suggested I book a spirometry test 6 weeks after the
steroids
. Well I didn't realise just had hard breathing had become until the
steroids
kicked in and wow what a difference. After the
steroids
my chest feels great however my fever has remained.

I had Covid last year and was very ill, lungs badly affected and put on
steroids
and inhalers, my asthma which had almost gone for years suddenly re-appeared.

Newly diagnosed
Now on a regime of immune suppressants and
steroids
which keep it in check. In the meantime anlupus anticoagulant test now positive twice. I've read that ocular inflammation can be the first presentation of lupus. Anyone else had similar involvement of their eyes?

Another auto immune condition: Lichen sclerosus
Lichen sclerosus is an unpleasant condition, mostly post-menopausal women, no known cure, just topical
steroids
which 'may help with symptoms'. My GP gave me no advice and little sympathy, other than the steroid cream and to come back in 3 months. And watch for any cancerous changes.

Increase or Decrease
My problem is not knowing what is causing the pain, I thought if I upped the
steroids
, and the pain went away, then it was a flare,, or I could drop the dose, and see if it gets worse.

APS Symptoms
I’m newly diagnosed as Type 2 diabetic (through steroid use) and have meds for that for the autoimmune diseases I take
Steroids
10mg, Mepacrine, Apixaban, asprin, Azathioprine and DF118 (Dihydrocodine), when needed paracetamol/morphine. I can’t have HCQ or Gabba or Amatryptalines.

I’m guessing that the culprit is lithium but I’m wondering whether
steroids
can cause this ?

Any advice on tapering prednisolone with Methotrexate and RoActemra?
Was told to reduce
steroids
from a high of 55mg at 5mg/week back in May. Am now on 20mg, reducing to 15mg on this programme at the weekend. All seems to be going fairly smoothly but am aware this reduction is now well over the 10% recommended on taper plans.

mistake with steroids
After recent ups and downs I was taking 15mg per day but I have not been feeling at all well for the past few days. My head has felt peculiar and I have been feeling disorientated. This morning when I was about to take my medication I noticed that I did not have any more 5mg tablets left and I'm pretty

Carbimazole
I am taking
steroids
which I know causes bruising, but since starting Carbimazole this has become much worse, with constant bleeding into the tissues if I even think about bumping into anything! Has anyone else experienced this? Thanks 😊

Staying on 5mg indefinitely.....
I know this is likely due to the
steroids
but may also be genetic as my mother was very active before being diagnosed with PMR. and may have remained so had her steroid dosages been managed a lot better.

Whoops! I made a boo-boo.
A week ago I visited the rheumatologist, who prescribed reducing Prednisone from 5mg to 4g daily and adding 20mg hydrocortisone. All part of the wean-off steroids.Stupidly, and because I was massively distracted by life circumstances, I didn't take in her instructions properly and reduced overnight

Still on
steroids
I started to taper off over a period of 10 days. Within 2 days I felt ill not realising, until a friend suggested , it could be steroid withdrawal. I've had all the symptoms plus loads of crying. I was shocked. I wish the hospital had warned me this could happen.
