My rheumy tele-consultation due to Covid.
This included my 2 injuries, Mark's knee op and explained why my CRP was so low in the last blood test (I'd increased my
steroids
to cope with the consequences of the injuries etc).

Unknown Cause Encephalitis
It feels like i'm taking these
steroids
and not even knowing if they are helping or not. I am also living in a foreign country and my family is on the other side of the world at the moment. It feels quite overwhelming. Please let me know if anyone has experienced anything similar!!

The Rheumatology Saga Continues!
He said he'd never heard of a plan like that and 30mg of
steroids
would probably mask most issues and it wasn't helpful to be on such a high dose.

steroids and knee replacement
He needs 2 knee replacements but doc says he can’t have the op because he is on
steroids
. Has anyone else experienced this?

Satisfactory Rheumatology Appointment
My regular rheumatologist referred me to her colleague, who unfortunately was extremely antagonist, unsympathetic, obnoxious and seemed totally void of any real or meaningful understanding of PMR or
steroids
.

Pred Side Effects, Tapering & Returning to work
I’m convinced these are due to the
steroids
, as I didn’t have these before the diagnosis. I did have the immobility, pains, blood inflammations and rapid response to Pred. I recognise the need to not rush tapering and I’m keen to get back to work.

Update to anyone interested
Now I'm back to the neck and both girdle pain that I had back in October last year - I am more certain than ever that it is PMR while the GP and Rheumy fanny about with their fibromyalgia label and do their best to deny me
steroids
which I know from my Cyprus adventure last Autumn relieve the pain.

Tiredness and feeling weak, any tips?
I'm coming down on
steroids
which are known to increase tiredness, it's been a bit of a stressful week so I think that could be catching up to me too. I wake up around 7-9am, (sleeping at 11pm) and by 9pm I feel exhausted. Has anything similar happened to anyone in the past or recently?

GCA Study Article
An update on me: I was put on 60 mg of

How long to take Actemra?
I know not everyone takes it and I'm on such a high dose of
steroids
that it seems it's not helping me. I'd love to hear your experiences and advice. Thank you so much!

Donor Egg - mixed feelings
We have done ICSI and used embryo glue had endometrial scratch had extra progesterone support and
steroids
and also down regulated before the FET. So I feel like we have done everything we can and have run out of new things to do now.

Colonoscopy
Hi I’m due a colonoscopy next week and wondered what other people have done about their
steroids
. The prep leads to bowel evacuation. I’m currently on 7.5 msg. Would it be worth doubling the dose or upping it to 10mgs a few days beforehand? Any tips gratefully received!

Management of Cough Variant Asthma
If we don't do that then its a short-course of
steroids
(typically 3-days) but we hate those given the impacts on growth velocity. Grateful for any community experiences and insights on this - thanks!

Does RA exist in the hips?
I think he thought I wanted a steroid high as he told me that bodybuilders take
steroids
to make themselves feel good! Apart from the fact that they are Anabolic
steroids
, they take them to heal quickly so as to train harder.

Immune Responses + Autoimmune Myelofibrosis
There is a form of myelofibrosis that is called Autoimmune Myleofibrosis (AUMF) for which
steroids
are an effective treatment if the condition is identified and treated soon enough. Search pubmed for this and you will see many papers going back 20 years.

Dear Friends This is Mom asking
The MS doctor started to proceed to put him on an agressive
steroids
- he is responding well and is reporting the right side of his body is returning back to normal for now. My ask: how do you know you have MS? When a doctor cannot depict the root cause? The symptons may be different?
