Finally managed it
After a bad chest infection (2 weeks of antibiotics and
steroids
) I have been feeling very weak, shaky and short of breath, it doesn't seem a lot taking my rubbish out but the thought of going down a flight of stairs and along the walkway to the chute filled me with dread.

reaction to reducing prednisolone
Is this a reaction to the boost that
steroids
give us or is it a sign that my body won’t accept the lower dose and that the polymyalgia is returning? Any opinions welcome, I would love to reduce more but am concerned that it will trigger a flare up. Thanks!

Leflunomide next drug doctor wants me to try
New consultant now started the relentless you need to get your
steroids
down by 2.5 per 2 weeks. I told her that's not happening anytime soon as I have just had to up them to cope with the flare from getting to 10 from 15 in a week to have the scan. On 20mg this week as in unbearable pain.

Aspergillosis and Hyperinflated lungs.
I spoke to the practice nurse a couple of days ago and told her I need
steroids
. I had a bit of a fight to get them but eventually after reading my last admission into hospital she agreed. The thing is I just wasn’t getting better and felt weak doing anything.

OsteoArthritis v RA
Having had RA diagnosed some 4 years now the majority of my pain is focused on my left knee which I injured in 2017. Recent flaring and RA activity has been largely rooted in that knee and have had three steroid injections since Christmas. The most latest one was in response to searing pain in the knee

About to start 3rd embryo transfer with steroids
I know there is an argument we should have got all these done before transferring the final euploid but as my womb lining has been fine and I have implanted twice already we took the decision to just add the

Should I insist on cortisol test or am I a steroid 'junky '?
First of all, my GP tells me I should not need pred once down to 5mgs or below as my adrenals provide 5mgs naturally (totally ignoring my protest that over 2 years on
steroids
will cause adrenal suppression ).

First RH appointment tomorrow
I am absolutely beside myself at the moment. After being seriously unwell for 3 months, especially the last week or 2 being so unwell I wonder how cancer could feel worse... I have a positive ANA & DSDNA. I have booked privately to see a rheumatologist because I cannot wait on the NHS as my life has

Prednisolone and urge to pee
Edited to add
, after contacting the consultant's secretary I have a new appointment in 12 days so will just continue with the
steroids
as I'll be on 10 mg then . Peeing is much better since cutting out carbs too. ***** I'm back with another question.
