Israeli experts show that some already widely used drugs help fight COVID-19.
Looks like
statins
, Pepcid, Anti-cholesterol fibrates, and even Viagra can help tamp it down. I'm on 3 of them plus Vit D & C.

Statins and Type 2 Diabetes
Not strictly speaking an MPN question but I’d be interested to know if anyone has had a similar experience of
statins
and insulin resistance as a possible side effect.

A quick stent and a few
statins
and I got through the next 18 years to age 70 when the blood pressure went through the roof and now I am just getting it under control with the help of Kings College Hospital Cardiology, on Amlodipine 25mg and Losartin 25 mg.

Peripheral neuropathy. Statins?
I have just come across research saying
statins
can cause peripheral neuropathy. I am on atorvastatin. I've stopped it today. I will let you all know.

Feeling Yukkkk
I’ve just started taking aspirin and
statins
, has anyone else had trouble with these and their IBS ?, just don’t want to go back to how I was a few weeks ago. Any input would be greatly received, my symptoms are reflux which I haven’t had in a while and a rumbling sicky tummy.

CHOLESTEROL AND STATINS
I was of the belief that
statins
are a no no for people who are hypothyroid but unsure were I read that? I know many people have bad side affects with
statins
and stop taking them. I feel quite anxious about it all. Anyone got any experience of this?

Statins , clutching at straws ?
I don't seem to get any benefit from the
statins
anyway although I do understand that they are meant to help protect against future heart events.

Statins sleep terrors
Hello everyone, I was wondering if anyone has had any trouble sleeping and waking whilst on
statins
? (10mg Rousavastatin) I find myself wide awake in the middle of the night in a panic after having had a terrible nightmare, followed by strange thoughts.

Any ideas on why my Neutrophils have been low in range or under range for some years now please?
Hi All STILL looking for answers for muscle aches that started during a short 12 week course of
statins
ending in April 17, I came across these Neutrophil results - all low in range or under range. The aches have continued and progressed since then.

statins
are causing the increase in enzymes even though I’m 6 years down the line of taking them and not had these issues before. What are people’s experience’s ?

Statins And "Nocebo" Effect
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-54951648 Interesting article, if you expect a medication will make you sick then you'll feel sick if you take it....even if the medication in equation is actually a harmless sugar pill or placebo!

Fatty liver and pancreas
My doctor is concerned about the fat on these organs and put me on
statins
to help remove the fat from the liver and pancreas. He is concerned there could be far in the blood. I’ve been told to lose 10% of my body weight. Has anyone on here had both a fatty liver and pancreas.

Tart Cherry Juice & 1MD Liver Supplement
Disadvantages are: sugar content is high so it’s not recommended for diabetics or anyone on
statins
. But there are supplements and extract. I know everyone should check with their doctor first, but do you think it would be worthwhile for PwP’s to give it a try?

Can Ibuprofen make muscle aches WORSE?
Hi All Looking for answers for long standing muscle aches, which started during a short 12 week course of
statins
, which I stopped in April 17. However, despite stopping them all that time ago, the aches have not only NOT gone away, but seem to progress by the week.
