Interaction of Statins with other medicine
Just looking for some guidance - is there any known interaction between
statins
and other medicine that one needs to be aware of? I am mostly interested in the usual stuff like antibiotics or vitamins, or stuff you usually get at the pharamacy for when you are under weather for minor conditions.

Test results
Hi everyone, I've received the following test results and have been advised to take
statins
. Do you think these results look like I could get my levels down with diet and exercise? My surgery obviously doesn't think so... Many thanks

cirrhosis and statins
I have alcoholic cirrhosis and am being recommended
statins
for cholesterol by my practice nurse. I’m a 57 year old UK male. The information sheet from the nurse session warns not to take
statins
if you have cirrhosis.

Anyone else have Tendon Issues?
Because
statins
can be a factor, I immediately quit taking atorvastatin. I also found a study that claimed aromatase inhibitors can also be a factor—I cannot quit Letrozole! Has anyone else had tendon tears? It is extremely painful!

starting statins and blood thinners
I just found out that I had a silent stroke in the past according to a recent MRA. I am starting a med that keeps platelets from sticking together and a statin. I am scared to death of the side effects. Any advice?

Statins: 2024 update
they seem useful, even if it’s not an interventional trial https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/38164036/

Daily Low dose Aspirin
hello, i am currently on low dose Aspirin and
statins

Statins and Af?
Hi, how many of us are taking
statins
along with the usual Af meds? I think I may have to start these soon and wondered about the effects as I'm nervous about starting yet another drug?
