Major issues on GemCarbo and losing weight
Hi Ladies, I was diagnosed in November 2015. I have done great until now. Eribulin was a cake walk, Ibrance and Faslodex I felt like i didn’t even have cancer. Even Taxol for 9 months was easy for me. Now I’ve had three cycles of Gemcarbo and I feel like I’m back when I was diagnosed. I vomit

Anyone have swelling of feet? Is this a side effect of Imbruvica? I’ve been taking this for a little more than 2 years.
I was diagnosed 18 years ago. Went through the watch and wait for 15 years then I was diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer hr2+ I was treated with taxol & herceptin About a year later my lymph nodes started to swell in my neck. When they got uncomfortably big my doctor started me on Imbruvica. The

Weekly taxol
Has anyone had any success with weekly taxol. I have just finished the Pissaro trial at the Royal Marsden and my scan at the end showed although the disease was stable there was some evidence of minute growth 1 or 2 mm so my next option would be weekly taxol. I wondered if anyone had had this with any

Mouth and tongue sore
This week I will have chemo #12 of weekly taxol - out of 18. Have had a sore in my mouth this weekend and what looks like scratches on my tongue. Feels like scratches in back of tongue too. Lozenges ease it. No temp! Gargling with baking soda and warm water. Used anbesol ointment couple times.

2nd try: Avastin (Bevacizumab) + Taxol (Update)
Update. Kind of odd, but Mom who has Stage 3c ovarian cancer, had a tremendous response from Carbo + Taxol first line treatment. Her CA125 plummeted from 3,000 to near 0 during her 4 month treatment. Even 1 month post treatment the CT scan showed no signs of cancer at all. The cancer spots on the outside

I was diagnosed May 1st of 2017 at 56 years old with cancer and later learned it was high grade Ovarian cancer stage 4B and that I am BRAC 1 positive. Being inoperable and given 3 months to live by MD Anderson

All sorted for sotalol!
Hi all, this is just to let you know I have got some sotalol to tide me over the next few days. I have learned many things from my recent posting, most importantly to phrase my questions better and supply a lot more info. Thanks all! Emma

Oncologist appointment results as promised.
Sorry girls, this is a long winded post but as promised I am writing with the results of my appointment today with the lovely Dr G. To be perfectly honest, I really don’t know what to make of it. When I last saw him in July it was the day after my PET scan and the results had not been sent across to

Conversation with GP about permanent Afib
I was diagnosed with paroxysmal Afib about 2 months ago and after taking Sotalol was free-so far as I could tell-from episodes. However, earlier on during the week I woke up with Afib- a bit of a blow as I hoped the meds would prevent recurrence. When I spoke to my GP this morning he said that mine might

Confused good news!!!
Hi my lovelies, Well confused good news it is...... Taxol doesn’t usually work it usually takes forever to do anything and it usually has to be mixed with something like avastin to get any results so her CA125 went from 168 up to 190 so expecting it to be way over 300 we had a shock it’s 56 we have

Platinum resistance
Hi everyone, I'm looking for some optimism with my latest situation and hoping someone on this forum can help! I have recurred just 3 months after finishing my first line of treatment - Carbo/Taxol which means I am 'platinum resistant'. I have also been taken off the immunotherapy drug trial for Avelumab

My ablation experience
After 4 years of AF I was put on the list for an ablation which I had over two weeks ago. It was a partial success with 2 of the pulmonary veins (the ones on the left) successfully ablated. The 2 on the right had issues, with one vein being too big for the probe meaning that it could not be ablated

Back in A and E...
In A and E after waking up with a pulse of 131. Took an extra Sotalol as advised which restored the heart to rhythm. Exactly the same as happened 7 weeks ago. This has come as a bit of a blow as I didn’t have any problems and thought the Sotalol had dealt with the problem. I guess this is the shape of

post treatment for recurrence
Hello- In May of 2016 my sister had extensive surgery for epithelial ovarian cancer, then treatment with carboplatinum and taxol. Recurred about a year after that treatment. She is just finishing another round with carboplatinum and doxil this time. She doesn't have the BRCA gene, but her doctor has

Extended Diarrhea
I have been experiencing diarrhea for more than 6 weeks. It started about a month after beginning Sotalol for my heart issues. I am now also on Venetoclax for CLL. Both list diarrhea as a side effect. I don't want to stop taking either drug. I had stool samples examined at my GP's lab which came

Desensitization protocol later today
Has anyone else gone thru desensitization protocol so they could continue with a chemo drug they had an allergic reaction to? I am on first recurrence as platinum resistant. So only 3 months after my first 6 chemos here I go again. First time around had severe anaphylaxis reaction to only two drops
